Looks interesting, though I'm still dreaming of Hisense's color e-ink lineup (A5 Pro CC, A7 CC, or future A9 CC if they decide on it) having 4G/5G that's better compatible with US/Europe/etc.. Otherwise hard to get excited for these as phones.

I'll be interested in seeing the direct comparison to the A5 and A7.

That would be awesome to have!

Looks like a neat device. I wonder how it does as a daily driver and if there will be A more stock android ROM in the future for it.

Agreed. I loved my Yota 1, and I had adapted our e-reader software in it. It was quite a huge amount of work since a special API was required to access the back e-ink panel. This was a significant drawback but not a blocker. The hardware was fantastic, very high quality and superb design.

I like bigger phones and I feel reading on a 6.7 would be better then 6.1. Will there be a bigger a9?

Does this work with ATT? I read that it might not in the US

Supports LDAC, nice. Along with everything else, looks like a good vacation phone or something like that.

Does anyone know if this phone would be compatible with the Mint Mobile network in the US?

Does this mean it's available to buy internationally now? I think this will be my next phone, just waiting on the full review.

Does it have GPS aka Google Maps?

What Hisense usually does is release a device in black and white, and then almost immediately cannibalize it for a color version We will have to see what happens in the weeks to come Thank you so much for your support!

I wish it had google play so we could download things like whatsapp and google maps.

It does not support google play or GSM. The processor is a snapdragon and is jailbreak:able though, so hopefully someone will figure out how to crack it and thus make it possible to install google play.

Too bad you can't do anything with them. Most things are integrated with Google or Apple framework and digit banking etc. These phones would be awesome but they are pointless as phones in America at least
