What a time to be alive. I wish I could’ve experienced that era 🏆
Blows my mind that these kids created the most dominant youth culture on the planet basically out of nothing. Out of the burnt up rubble of the south bronx they created America's biggest export. It's just amazing to me.

That lie Puerto Ricans weren’t involved in HOP HIP!! I seen plenty of Puerto Rocs in this early footage.

This is not early. Hip Hop was 10-12 years old in 1983. There weren't many in the early 70's

As a Jamaican I can tell you that the Puerto Ricans were there with us. AA now and then we're xenophobic. They didn't join in until 10 years later when it came above ground

This is a decade AFTER hip hop started. Yall are hilarious. Crazy Legs is admittedly 2nd generation bboy and they’re on video saying they were mimicking African Americans.

@@brooklynmedina7676 you're hilarious. You're trying so hard to deny that Puerto Ricans and blacks created hip hop. But Puerto Ricans were there since the beginning
