New York City Breakers 80's footage
Музыка
This was the beginning era of the culture of Hip Hop B-Boying "Break Dancing" , Graffiti , Deejaying and Electronic music , I thank GOD that I was around as a lil kid and this culture known as Hip hop raised me to be the person that I am now, I was 8 years old when I became part of the culture. Hip Hip taught me how to artistically express myself with words, music and visual art. I learned how to build computers and Hip Hop led me to the knowledge , I got my first professional sampler when I was 19yo The Ensoniq EPS 16plus , when I learned that machine it taught me the language of the recording sciences also the functionality and structure of digital programming also known as sequencing, from that point on once I incorporated other machines and later on computers it was no stopping me. And this started from being inspired by the culture of Hip Hop.

Man I love these 80s breakdancing videos so cool such a great decade
That was amazing. Notice the diversity. That's the NYC I saw growing up as a child.
Im 54 started to bboy at age 13 in nyc during this era. The vibe was dope. Trains were bombed lots of clubs all over manhattan. Even though the violence and crime was far worse than now. But we got thru it. Great memories.

I’m 54 and started to breakdance @13 as well. I had windmills and halos on west coast. Best times of my life
The fact that the beat is looped changed everything. The big composition, but basic endless groove and creativity.

Classic 80's Hip-Hop. This beat is being brought back by a DJ with scratches and perfect timing. No digital loop machines or samplers. OG elements of Hip-Hop!!!

One of the smoothest windmills i've seen!
This is awesome, makes me real nostalgic. When this music and breakdancing were a thing in the early 1980s, I was still in elementary school. On the weekends or late afternoon or early evenings on the weekdays, older kids or young adults would gather at our school's playground. Break out the boomboxes, flattened out cardboard boxes, and the guys would just be there dancing off. I used to love watching them. The moves, the handoffs, the posing LOL I still love it!

I remember those days when no fighting no killings just break dance against each other.
Going on 2024 and still banging this!! 🔥🔥
when this show "Graffiti Rock" aired, there was a MC's battled - Run DMC and Cool Moe D. Why didn't the breakers battle? If the Rock Steady Crew was on here, we could have gotten another chapter of "Beat Street". For what it was worth this was beautiful.
Man--Lil Lep,Icy Ice And flip Rock some Bad dudes. They were all good but these were my favorites.👌👌👌
NYCB were the best. Pioneers of the dance. Ultimate Respect for Action, Powerful Pexter, Mr. Wave, Flip Rock, Kid Nice, Glide Master (RIP), Lil' Lep, and Icy Ice.
Cali cant mess with that beat east coast 😂

A D B-Boying is constantly evolving and B-Boys are getting better and better with each generation. It started in the early 1970s with basic moves. Backspins back then was the TOP move. By the early to mid 80s, the windmill became the top move. Today, I guess it would be “flares” maybe?
