WE HIKED THE TRT! Well, sorta. We set out to hike 170 miles on the Tahoe Rim Trail in early July...the one week they had a heat wave. We pushed too hard, too fast. We were naive to how hard hiking this distance actually was and paid the price for it. Thru hiking lessons were learned and we know how to better prep for a thru hike next time. We enjoyed the rest of our PTO hanging out around South Lake Tahoe and hitting some of California's most iconic national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and King's Canyon.
