Hiking deep into Washington's backcountry... Pea Soup Lake/Dip Top Gap - Alpine Lakes Wilderness
During a week long road trip across Washington, we decided we needed to see this place with our own eyes. Pea Soup Lake... did not sound very enticing. After seeing this incredible backcountry lake the name could not be more wrong.
This was a day hike for us as we had already set up a basecamp at the lower Jade Lake the day before. It was surprising to see so much snow in August. We took full advantage of it as we glissaded much of it on the way down from Dip Top Gap. The memories of this place will be floating through my mind when I am an old man.
I share a quote by Rumi at the top, " What you seek, is seeking you". A short reminder that your thoughts and true intentions are being drawn to you. Being aware of these mental patterns can help us intentionally create more fulfilling lives.

This was middle of August. Perfect weather this day. The next day brought some clouds and rain. Sometimes you just get lucky I guess. Thanks for checking out the channel🙂

There was one flat spot right on the pass. Everything else was pretty rocky. Not sure if its allowed though. Would be an epic campsite if you pulled it off.
