Sorry if this has been suggested already but if you can get your hands on some “1000 mile socks” that should help. They are double layered socks and they work really well for me for running, I guess you may be able to achieve the same result by just wearing two pairs of socks. Good luck, I’m loving the series, just watch out for yourself 👍

Have enjoyed many of your vlogs and this latest is excellent. Very inspiring trip and so well explained. Keep going Tom and Izzy.

I feel your pain. Walking in wet shoes and socks is death for the feet. I did that on the C2C and, when I took my shoes off, the skin that was normally under my heel was behind my heel. I thought I'd have to stop but took a 2-day break and, with a couple of ibuprofen before setting off each day, was able to keep going. Waterproof socks help.

Raynor Wynn has recently written about walking this area down to Cornwall with her disabled husband.. seeing this vlog has made me really appreciate the challenge!! Well done..

This was an excellent watch. Total hats off to you, it got very rough there at times for you Tom, and i can only imagine the pain in your feet. I bet them wee cabins seem like 4 star accommodation in these conditions. Also nice to see Iz, cheerful as ever !! Good luck for another week 🙏 💪

I am loving this quest! Have you read The Salt Path? They found it physically hard in the beginning with a lot of the same issues with blisters etc but then their bodies adapted and toughened up to the walk. Next time I'm caught in relentless rain I will try to 'be more Tom' 😊

Scotland is blowing my mind, I always loved Scotland but exploring some of these spots that you can only get to by a days walk is making me love it even more

Well done Tom. I’m impressed by the quiet determination to keep going in the rain and through the bogs. I’m sure lots of people, including me, would have taken more opportunities to heave to and taken a break. Looking forward to more travels.

Tom, remedy for your feet!!! Spiky balls are really good for helping sore feet. I work long hours in heavy boots and it used to restrict me going on adventures after work but standing on and rolling the balls on my feet made it feel like I was walking on air. I don’t know the science to it but it helped me so I hope maybe it could help you as I know how your feeling buddy :)

Amazing video. I'm seriously considering moving to the Highlands and was worried about the wind and rain - but watching your infectious enthusiasm made me realise that the weather is part of the journey. Just watching you cross that vast magnificent landscape made me realise what true outdoor adventure really is. This is the most inspiring walking video I've seen and makes me more determined to get my arse up there and live! Thank you so much for sharing this.

I grew up in the Highlands but you never truly appreciate the beauty of your surroundings til you leave!😍 I travelled all those roads regularly (had a friend in Kinbrace, funny to see her house in your vlog) but never ventured far off them, the journeys were so long, you were always in a hurry to get where you were going up there!😂 Fascinating to see how many trails and bothies are around, makes me want to go back and explore properly - on foot! 🥾🥾

Lived in big cities all my Life but the Highlands are really somewhere very special, The Incredible Scenery and the Lack of People make it totally Magical. You Got This Tom 💪

A nice long hazel crook would suit you well in that terrain. Wonderful views. Thank you.
