Solo Thru-Hiking: John O'Groats to Lands End
Join me as i take on my biggest challenge, to walk from John O'Groats in the northeast of Scotland to Lands End in the far Southwest of Cornwall. This week my route takes me through the north of England where i follow the extensive canal network. I make my way to the Welsh boarder and join the Welsh Coast path and follow it all the way to the Snowdonia National Park.

Epic filming. Really appreciate the fact you bother to film yourself walking away for the shot. This makes Sunday a place to come and enjoy your 'efforts.' Thank you.
What an amazing achievement Tom.. Just think, when you get to Cornwall you will be able to gaze at a map of the UK and think to yourself..... Yep !! I walked all the way from John O'Groats to Lands-end..... Thats epic..... Well done...
I wonder how many miles are added with back tracking to collect the camera? You really do pick the challenging routes, huge respect for that. I was up Helvellyn on one of those hot days and it was brutal. You are hiking big distance with a heavy pack! You must be getting super fit Tom. Well done mate, this is a super cool series to follow.
You have given us some much inspiration to plana walk, def not as long as what you are doing, but a multi day one. We enjoy your commentry, and the sheer rawness of your adventures, congrats Tom on your journey so far 😊
Think you are my hero Tom. Am a bit of an old lady now but have hiked so much with a heavy backpack in days gone by. You are resurrecting my memories so thank you. Well done Tom, brilliant filming. ❤
Am still loving every episode Tom. A massive physical feat and brilliant filming and editing - whatever challenges you face in the future, just keep reminding yourself you did all this!
Legendary effort Tom. Always a great watch, keep going
Cool shot where you walked off into the mist. I love the eeriness of walking through mist and fog.
Wow, this is an epic journey! The determination it takes to hike from John O'Groats to Lands End solo is truly inspiring. Your video captures the beauty and challenges of the trail so well. Thanks for taking us along on this incredible adventure. Can't wait to see more of your hiking experiences!
Brilliant filming and storytelling bud! What a fantastic and professional work, this was executed masterfully!
You’re making great progress, your third country on the trip! Some more marvellous scenery. Hope all goes well in the next stretch, you’re doing awesome, what a fantastic memorable life event. All the very best, David & Rachel 👍
Ah Tom, your route past Warrington came within a few miles from us on this video... if we'd been here you could have come round for a brew! Yeah it was so hot that week wasn't it, 🌞🥵 but then it's always like that in the North West! ...and I bet you never thought you'd need a machete on the footpaths of Cheshire! I think I heard that stranded ferry near Mostyn was a night club in the 1980s ...? But I love Conwy, often been there, and in my mind it was always the start of the hills & mountains 🏔 Brilliant video Tom, especially that spooky atmospheric ending! 👏👏👏
The Pembrokeshire coastal path is beautiful ❤
Hi Tom. You’ve done so much walking in that heat. You passed through my home city of Chester. It was great to see it on your video. Take care. Nick
As someone who lives in N Wales (near Conwy) I love how pleasantly surprised ppl from elsewhere are when they view the coast, landscape, sunsets, etc. Makes you appreciate what you have! Great efforts here Tom, really enjoying this series.
Inspirational young man, you deserved those pints!
Fantastic again; I admire you! Welcome to North Wales.
Epic! Keep pushing forward Tom! 👍🏻
Wow Tom - impressive walking - great to see you walking through our home patch. I was in Colwyn Bay with my son not long before you passed through that way....would love to have bought you a pint! Great camera work and editing as usual - it must be so hard to walk back and forward on those static camera shots when all you want to do is go forward - but it is really worth it and makes us feel we are walking with you. Hope you are enjoying Snowdonia. Love from Southport.
Walking the entire length of Britain that should be a nice afternoon hike
This walk is a huge achievement, you should be very proud!
Well, Tom. I'm a Brit, now living abroad in the US and my timeline threw up your adventures as something I'd enjoy based on my interests. Well, what a find. I am loving this length and breadth of Britain journey. Your very professional and polished narration and filming is a joy to watch. Thank you! As someone who has formerly hiked a lot of England, Scotland and Wales, this is also a trip down memory lane for me at times. I can't wait to watch the rest of this adventure. Also, Izzy is amazing. I love her appearances. Thank you for your dedication, both to walking and to recording and editing. Love and light 👍🙏
We’ll done for picking up the Cambrian. I’ve done that bit before and loved it!
Tom , you are warrior ,keep on walking , we are behind you knowing you can do this ❤

Amazing progress Tom - clocking up the miles every day. With the great weather, I’m surprised that you didn’t take a sea swim or two. Having a shower at the hostel must have been magic. Keep it up.

Another great trip update Tom. Particularly interesting as you walked along the part of the canal I use locally. This is already an amazing achievement. Camping in La Bamba in future will seem like a first class hotel after this experience! I look forward to every week’s update. This is KZread at its best. Keep safe.

Well done Tom, truly amazing. You seem to be enjoying it the more it goes on. Nothing like centring yourself with nature. I bumped into a guy whilst on our van trip in Spain (we shared a washing machine at a super market) and it turns out we are both are following your journey. I’ve got one of his socks so I hope I bump into him in Portugal. Looking forward to next weeks vid. Well done!!!!

How nice you showed Chester, beautiful city! Some years we visited it and my husband left his cap in the pub😅... Greetings from Lithuania!
Loved this! I’m not really a KZread type person because my attention span is that of a fly, but I enjoyed every minute! Amazing what you’re achieving, would love to do something like that one day! Thanks for the inspiration 🤗

Brilliant stuff Tom. I recognise where you started this weeks vlog -it's about 1/2 mile from my home, as I said when you were in Scotland you would have been welcome to stay a night, have a shower food, bed and WiFi. Anyhow I can't believe the distance you have covered in the week. Glad you are enjoying it, keep well.
Hey Tom. As usual, your determination, ability, will-power and resilience is admirable. Stay on your path & keep your goal in sight. We are similar in our determination and ability Tom. Stay safe & enjoy the experience. 🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻
Absolutely loving the story telling of your trek Tom. But I’m worried about how little you appear to eat!! 🥾🏕️🍺
Hi Tom and Izz, love your enthusiasm. In Ireland we had that warm weather spell it was the weirdest weather I'd ever experienced. The night time temperatures for the time of year were off the charts. The summer cycle has moved on from our part of the planet so the sun overhead did not produce these temperatures, warm air from the south, maybe.

Good to see you have reached Wales. I'd agree canals get boring after a while
Are you following the Rugby World Cup Tom, England are doing Really well 👍 👏
That looked tougher than when you were getting drenched on the CWT. You are certainly showing what fantastic scenery we have in Britain. I feel a walk around Ireland needs to be the sequel!

Top man 😀
( Strange thing to say, but....) once your walk has ended I'll watch every video of your walk back-to-back. Why? As a kind of homage to the fella who inspired me to begin hiking when I was only eight years old: John Hillaby. I actually read his ' Journey Through Britain ' when I was eight.( God alone knows how often I've read it since then ). Your videos come close to the route, and the places, he would have trekked through. So thanks for re-awakening my feet.
