I have been to over 50 national parks and I always follow these tules. Never hike alone, never hike with strangers you just met, always sleep in a hard sided camper or vehicle, always carry bear spray, always tell people of your destination and expected return time, always carry a weapon. And never ever trust two legged animals. Theres alot of creepos out there looking for easy victims!!! I have run into quite a few over the years. On my last trip we were camping at flagg ranch and ran into some freaky devil worshippers which I knew were going to try something at night. Gut instinct told me to pack up and sleep at another campground. When we returned the following day the weirdos were gone. Just be aware of your surroundings out there ppl and always carry a weapon with you and know how to use it proficiently. Remember if you look like prey you will become prey.

My nephew and I were sitting by the campfire one night when out of nowhere came two very large wet dogs. The size of great danes. Don't know where they came from. Nobody around for miles. One seemed friendly and ran into my tent while the other stood there growling at us. My nephew frozen with fear just stood there, frozen. I tried sweet talking them. Hey pooch, where did you come from? It worked and they ran off towards town. Absolutely terrifying and I won't go back! Creeped in from behind us, in the dark. Didn't see or hear them coming before they were right in our face. Hearing you talk about a giant unknown breed of dog out there really scares me now. I still don't know what kind of dogs those were but I don't ever want to see them again! Peace!

Happy to come across these stories. I walked at daybreak in central Massachusetts around 2016 and ran into two large wolf looking creatures but just like these stories they were way too big to be wolves. They had the markings of gray wolves but much much larger and beautiful. It's remained a mystery ever since then and I'm glad to hear that other people have had similar stories.

I saw another documentary about an extraordinary number of experienced hunters and explorers who go missing all the time with no trace. Its in our evolutionary history to attribute the unknown to some mysterious agent but we have no idea the countless ways natural mishaps can happen in the wilderness rather than the super natural like being snatched up by the third kind or Sasquatch. A lot of people don’t take into consideration that just like there are deformed humans and humans with mental disabilities and illnesses, there are a percentage of animals that also have anomalies that may not look or act like the typical breed.

I agree. Many people think we're coming to the End of Times, because in the Bible, it speaks of demons rising from the Earth, at the end. I don't know what to think. It could be that mankind keeps logging, building, burning, and traveling, further and further into the wild forests of our world, so it's probably inevitable that any really reclusive animals/beings would begin to be seen..

I remember growing up in North Texas we actually had a some timber wolves back then. But unfortunately they were killed out by mid 70s due to ranchers killing them to save livestock. Moving on, I remember my Uncle Richard who is 9 years older than I am came home with 3 little pups. My grandmother knew instantly there were wolf pups. Unfortunately, we found out later the mother had been shot. I was about 5-6 maybe so this was 1968-69 to give you the time frame. Anyway we raised them and one of the mothers dogs we had nursed them as her very own. The pups I remember were about 4-6:weeks old when we got them. As time went on we recently forgot about it they simply grew with our dog pups. They never bothered the chicken pig's we had. Very protective of us and our dogs. We feed them dog food like all the others. Again, there were 3 of these wolves and one was missing so my uncle went searching and found her dead down by a creek. She had been shot. I remember the 2nd one was hit by the train about 1/2 mile down the road. The third and last one was a male beautiful wolf. He was much larger than our largest dog a German Shepherd. And we had him I know for a couple of years. Again, gorgeous animal. He was deep gray with some brownish color mixed in. I remember coming home from school one day and he wasn't around. Grandparents said he just disappeared. Uncle who was about 17 by this time went searching but never found any remains or anything about him. I am 58 now and I remember this wolf so well. He was very gentle never showed aggression. As far as size, I say nothing out of the norm just much larger than our dogs.

Spent a day or two in Yellowstone many years ago & didn't see one animal. It was eerily quiet, not even birds were about. Then drove to more remote Grand Teton Nat'l park & there they were - elk, black bear, deer, birds, ground squirrels, etc. GTNP may be a welcome refuge for many creature looking to steer clear of people.

People telling what they encountered and I had to stop listening ... it was just too scary ... that was about three and a half years ago and then I tried again right around Thanksgiving and I only lasted maybe for two weeks . My buddy and I were way up in Manitoba in the 80ties. We had settled in after dinner and a night around the fire. We had a few shots of whiskey and both of us an hour later we were fast a sleep in our sleeping bags. My friend woke in a loud voice yelled its a bear, startled I looked and this large dark figure was crashing though the under brush. Just as I was reaching for my Ruger GP, it was almost now 15 yards away. Then it tripped and fell over sprawled out. It was some drunk, got lost going to take a leak. Never going back there !!!!!!

Hello Lilth, I'm a new subscriber and enjoyed story contents . I have a story,my sister and I set up a trailcamera to nab litter bugs instead we caught pictures of, I believe 2b dogman. Images surprised us after 2 days being set up. Creature had one glowing eye with snake like pupils. Lots of teeth, ears like shrek, and clawed fingers... it happened 11:20pm for 31/2 minutes in middle of February 2022....that's what dogs bark at on & on ... so I burnt incense and prayed with other protections...now the nights are quiet & calm.. serenity is back....dogs don't bark anymore.

Grizzlies COULD possibly be a problem if they have their cubs with them. Wolves? Wolves don't attack humans unless that human is injured & can't move. And if that is the case one lone wolf wouldn't attack without others in a pack. So the mention of large wolves cracked me up. Large small or otherwise wolves don't attack humans. A rabid wolf is still highly unlikely for a human to come across & would be SUPER RARE. Good stories I suppose but I leave legends & myths like Bigfoot out the door. The most dangerous creature in the woods (and in the World) is always HUMANS! Ditto.

Hundreds if not thousands of these stories but, no photos and/or vids. The few photos/that do show up from time to time are at best sketchy.

back around 92-ish my friend and i were out surfing by ourselves in hatteras. we had miles of beach either way with no one around. this is just north of the s turns if any other locals happen to see this. my current wife was on the beach tanning. the water was chilly so im guessing it was in september or close. we were both out and caught a few nice waves but we were just warming up. i rode one in and said hey to my, at the time, girlfriend and paddled back out. when i got back out we made some basic conversation and i turned to get myself positioned for the next set. when i did, he was already in the lineup so he saw it first, we saw this giant shark fin pop up. this thing was massive and had barnacles on it. i turned to look at brian and he was frozen for a second. with no words we both nodded, turned around and started paddling in. im guessing, and trying to convince myself still, that it was just a really old whale shark....that got mutated or maybe injured in a fight. thats the best way to describe it. i know that areas ocean pretty well and ive never seen anything else like it. it was school bus sized if not a little bigger. thats what we could see of it in the dark atlantic water anyways. we packed up and went to the lighthouse, and other people, and went back out........
