We took a Vacation to Yellowstone in 2014. We had a ranger guide with Xanterra named Miyeko who did a fantastic job. She was even born in Yellowstone since her father was a park ranger too. Have you ever heard of her. We are returning again this summer. We stay in the park northern loop. We also stayed in Mammoth Hot Springs hotel one night. We were told to get up early and you can watch all the Elk come down from the mountain into the village. One walked in front of me about 3 feet away. I was photographing him and didn’t realize how close till I heard my wife tell me. I stood still & didn’t move. He walked right by me thankfully 😊

That is so cool! I'm excited for you to visit again!
I was fortunate enough to see wolves in the Slough Creek area. What a thrill!! You're right, the Lamar Valley is the best area for all sorts of wildlife. It's my favorite part of the park. Love your videos!

Woo hoo love this video so much. It also sounds like you and i are so similar I absolutely love wolves and make it my number 1 priority when i go to Yellowstone. I am going to take your advice and hit the winter months. I have been to this park so many times I can’t count, but never been there in the winter. Thanks again.

You will love it!! The wolves are amazing in the winter!
Glad I found your channel. My wife and I will be heading to Yellowstone in September for five days. We are staying in Gardiner with our focus being the Lamar Valley for wildlife. We almost everything you mentioned except the wolves. My wife loves wolves and ti was our disappointment on the first trip. I was very surprised how many observers with spotting scopes shared the views. This time I will have mine along with all my camera equipment. Another goal will be some Astro Photography so hoping to get some good Milky-way shots. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

There are rattlesnakes, but I've been to the park many many times and have only seen one once!
Also where is the best place to see coyote and mule deer?

You'll see deer all over the park. Coyote are a little more difficult, but dusk is a great time to find them!
