I wish you the best of livelihood on your trip. It is one of the last places in the united states of true unrelenting natural beauty. To me, it's by definition, otherworldly. I wish you the best of coincidences in your adventure.

For a few extras, Great places to see Bighorn Sheep would be from the North Entrance to Mammoth, the mountainous sections of Lamar Valley but I’d recommend a spotting scope for that, also the Mount Washburn area in between Tower & Canyon, also along the East Entrance road. Great places to see Pronghorn, Lamar Valley would easily be the best place to see them, you almost always see them there. Great places to see Mountain Lions, you have to be pretty lucky to spot one they’re probably the rarest large predator in the park, but they’re most often seen from Mammoth all the way to Lamar Valley & sometimes around the Tower region. Great places to see Bald Eagles, any place that has sufficient amount of water, like the Madison River along the West Entrance road, also the Yellowstone River, and the huge lakes in Yellowstone. Also to note about bears, just like wolves they can be seen throughout the park, but the Eastern side of the park from Lamar Valley all the way to the East Entrance road tends to have the most bear sightings for both Grizzly & Black Bears that are closest to the roads, although I have seen that Grizzly Bears are sometimes spotted close to the road from Mammoth to Norris, Grand Teton is also a good place to look for Grizzly Bears during dusk in the meadow openings, and in my experience I have seen Black Bears close to the West Entrance road, and even a lone wolf along that road at one point, so in short, although some areas of the park offer a higher chance of seeing a particular animal, there’s always the chance you could come across it in a random area of the park at the right place at the right time.

I’ve found the most consistency seeing wolves on summer evenings, just before dusk. I know you can find them during the other seasons, I just have had so much luck seeing them in the summer, that’s generally when I go looking for them.

Seriously though. It’s like some people have no concept of the difference between a pet and a wild animal.
