Look, people may click because it's the 2 biggest names in chess rn. But that is one of the most beautiful (after the opening) chess games I have seen. It felt like even the clock was used as a piece beautifully by each player (using 30 seconds out of a minute with that much game left to play feels like the time equivalent of sacrificing the queen or a rook)

What's impressive was that hikaru wasn't even putting his full focus on the match.he was casually talking with chat , cracking jokes and thanking Ben Dover for the 69 gifted subs

Almost feel as incredible as watching 2 mittens playing each other

Totally right that Hikaru's ability to say "What am I doing, I'm playing horrible," and then recalibrate on the spot is pretty superhuman. I credit his ego shift since becoming a content creator.

It is so cool to see the speed chess because even the masters can't play a perfect game with the time constraint. It's really fun to watch and fun to analyze
