Thank you for this upload, watching after hearing the sad news about Mike Yarwood. He will be deeply missed. The first great impressionist. Rest in peace mate.

Ian Hislop saying the show needs a right wing comedian- a topical comment 25 years ago!

The problem remains that criticizing government is viewed as left wing by the right, and as normal by the left - even if that government happens to be nominally left wing. Some right wing people complain about the BBC being left wing - no, they're critical and Ian Hislop is the ultimate example. As a later episode says, "plays on the right when the government is on the left and on the left when the government is on the right."

Shame you can't show S10E02 with the panel's legendary takedown of McDonald's in the Odd One Out round, especially Angus's autocue lines (I believe they were reprinted in a tie-in book)... Angus: Paul, your four visions of loveliness are... The back legs of a mouse; the E.Coli 157 bacteria; a nematode worm; and some raw sewage. Paul: Is the back legs of a mouse the only thing that hasn't been offered a job on Channel 5? Erm... Well I think this is... is this McDonald's? Is it things that have been found in kitchens? Have McDonald's invented a cheeseburger with the back legs of a mouse? You order it, it comes walking towards you. And in a few years time it'll have a little voice box so it'll speak to you as you're eating it - "Been drinking coffee, have we, sir?" Ian: McDonald's are notoriously litigious. Paul: I know, I had to pose it as a question rather than a statement. So it's things found, isn't it? Angus: Yes, I have to own up, you're absolutely right. As we see them again, they have all, allegedly, been found in McDonald's food, except...? Paul: Oh yeah, of course, ahem... is there a beefburger there? There isn't is there! _[Audience laughter and applause]_ Well I remember the one in the bottom left... _[The nematode worm]_ ...It's nibbling the lettuce! I don't know... the back legs of a mouse. Angus: Ian, do you want to have a try? Ian: Well, it must be, the... you know, the sp... Bob Mills: Oh come on, man, say it! Ian: The Jeffrey Archer! Angus: The raw sewage? Erm, yes, that's the right answer, so you'll have to share the points. That's the only one that hasn't been found in McDonald's food despite this week's courtroom allegation that raw sewage flooded the kitchen of their Colchester branch. McDonald's staff eventually cleaned the sewage out without food being contaminated, although it would have been a brave man who tried the chocolate milkshake that afternoon. The E.Coli bacteria in a McDonald's restaurant was said by the Department of Health to be responsible for a major outbreak of food poisoning in Preston. McDonald's took immediate action by renaming it the E.Coli McBacteria. In 1989 McDonald's apologised to a customer who found a nematode worm in his Filet-O-Fish, though they insisted the worm was perfectly harmless because it was dead. Presumably because it had eaten some E.Coli bacteria. In 1992 Eric Schneider took a big bite out of the McRib he'd just bought and discovered he was eating the rear end of a mouse. _[Audience groans in disgust]_ There's a different at McDonald's you *won't* enjoy.

And? I never understand someone criticising a show not everyone gets to watch instead of being grateful... or just moving on. Judge not lest ye be judged... and don't do it if you claim you are religious 😁👍

@ralpsimpson3925 So you are saying you would prefer that there was no uploaded version of this show at all then ? You would prefer that the person who took the time to originally record this show in 1995 on VHS tape, and then store it all these years , and then be kind enough to upload it here for everyone to watch (and yes , it's good enough to watch and listen to and fully understand the jokes and humour) , you would prefer it wasn't here at all then ? Maybe have some respect and appreciation rather that push out your own negative thoughts and vibes and to only critisise the work of others. What have you ever uploaded to share on KZread that's several decades old ?
