Not really. By 1997 she was generally a figure of fun for the alternative comics and the satirical bunch at Private Eye and HIGNFY. The National mournathon was mainly mainstream monarchists and the middle classes. I saw a stand up about a week after she died doing the Head and Shoulders joke.

Until she died Diana was not idolised and was generally regarded as a very silly woman. It was only after she died that people went daft and started calling her a saint blah blah.

Germaine was a regular of sorts in the early days. Man enough to stand up to the boys, Woman enough to stand Over the boys. LOL

Where is she now? Alone in a garden writing hate essays. Her recent articles include: "I hate cats", "I hate the wind", "I hate wild animals", "I hate the council", "I hate my mortgage", "I hate Dubai", "I hate Australia", etc. etc. Tom Holland has 4 sons, all actors, and yes that's HIS son Tom as Spider-Man. At at some time he'll start to be a grand-pa to their children. Poor Germaine, she thought work was the reward in and of itself, not the mechanism to something better. That's why she has to write so many essays and deliver so many lectures: a pent-up maternal instinct she doesn't even realise about herself or know how to quantify.

Greer's internationally famous for doing things her own way. Your profile pic is cosplaying as a Star Wars character and what you're writing looks like cope. It's hard to tell when you've no evidence of boastworthy accomplishments. Maybe "failed to live up to potential" is biggest self own you could have written?
