I had the impression that they didn't feel stage fright, the Germans played less bravely yesterday and still lost 6 goals, obviously moving on the ice is to Sweden's advantage, but is anyone surprised? They play in the NHL, Poles in Poland XD :))))

The pure joy on Lyszczarczyk's face when he scored brought a tear to my eye.

@@pawezmaopolski1392 Hokej sice není fotbal a prohrát 1:5 je docela běžné i mezi relativně vyrovnanými tými. Leč pro srovnání - na papíře je kvalitativní rozdíl mezi Švédskem a Polskem asi takový, jako ve fotbale mezi Anglií a San Marinem. Přesto to byl zábavný hokej a polští hokejisté až do konce nic nevzdali a Švédy regulérně trápili. Z nikoho si legraci nedělám, myslím to vážně.

@@JanKarlach Wątpię żeby między Szwecją a Polską w hokeju była taka różnica jak między Anglia a San Marino w piłce nożnej, jeżeli by tak było to sędziowie nie musieli by pomagać Szwedom. Skoro się znasz na hokeju (bo ja kompletnie nic nie wiem ale trochę poczytałem przepisy) to wyjaśnij mi 2 kwestie proszę: 1. Dlaczego Polak dostał karę 2+2, a Szwed nie dostał 2 minut ? Przecież na video widać ewidentnie że to Szwed uderzając Polaka spowodował to, że Polak niekontrolowanym ruchem go uderzył... 2. Dlaczego gol (nr 3) na 3:3 dla Łotwy został uznany (Polska - Łotwa) ? Powiem tak oglądanie meczów z takim sędziowaniem i faworyzowaniem przez sędziów drużyn naładowanych gwiazdami to czysty masochizm...

Ice Hockey in Poland is still a very niche sport. I hope we stay up in the TOP Division so it gains more popularity, if we go down then it is just wasted opportunity.

@@marcinbartyzel1 We in Sweden hope for that too. The more diversity we have in hockey the better. We have seen Switzerland and Germany's development in recent years, which is great, but Poland also has the potential to become a powerhouse nation in ice hockey, if the development continues.

@@marcinbartyzel1 poland could become an established ice hockey nation. You have a big population compared to other european countries, surrounded by decent hockey nations with decent leagues and a country suitable for ice skating in winter times.

Because when the score was 3:1, when at the end the referee gave the Pole a 2+2 penalty, and while checking the cameras, he did not see the obvious fact that the Swede also attacked the Pole's face in this action. He could have simply added a 2-minute penalty to the Pole and that was it. Because the Swede could have just as easily given a 2-minute penalty. It was obvious. In my opinion, the Pole's raised stick and his attack resulted from the situation when the Swede hit him in the face with the tip of the stick. It works automatically when you defend your face. An embarrassment for the referees, especially since they watched the replay. And what did we get at the end? Penalties for Poles and 2 goals for Swedes. For Strong Swedes who need help to score goals? This still does not change the fact that Sweden was better in this match. But bravo to Poland for fighting and defending itself.

Było 3:1 do momentu tej podwójnej kary, gdzie wpakowali nam 2 bramki i było po meczu. Kara z takim przeciwnikiem jak Szwecja = właściwie gol. Gdyby nie to, może byśmy przegrali ,,tylko'' 1:3, a przy odrobinie szczęścia kto wie ...

This Swedish team is just amaxing. They'll probably destroy Germany as well. Hedman, Karlsson, Dahlin. WOW! Favorites to win gold imo.

As a Polish, I am really proud of those guys! They are underdogs for sure , but I really hope their fight in every match will be an impulse to improve ice hockey in Poland. 30 years ago we played like equal with Finland, Sweden and Russia, we even reached 4th place in World Championship. I'd like to see bigger Polish league and more popularity of this beautiful sport in my homeland 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱 ........And yes, we had players in NHL like Mariusz Czerkawski. Cheers!

Mecz Polska - Łotwa był "zrobiony" przez sędziów na polecenie zorganizowanych band bukmacherskich, 3 gol dla Łotwy nie powinien być uznany... Nie znam się na hokeju kompletnie, mam okazję oglądać to po raz pierwszy, najsłabszym zespołem w tej grupie oprócz Polski z tego co widzę jest chyba Francja no i Łotwa która wygrała z tymi zespołami po dogrywkach przy wydatnym udziale sędziów... Jeżeli tak słaby zespół jakim jest Łotwa zdobył brązowy medal na poprzednich mistrzostwach świata, to oznacza że wszystko się może wydarzyć...

Great bang heads up play on that goal Poland, made our goalie look stupid. Pettersson blows a tire as the last man, doesn't make things better. No wonder he's a Pen. These first games in the round are rather uninteresting to watch. Not to destroy Poland's desire to stay in Group A, but hockey should not be played at 70% of its ability. Best of all in the game, the true joy that the Polish goal scorer and the rest of his line showed on the ice was great stuff.

I do not share your opinion that the refs favored any team. Hockey, thank god, is not as corrupt of a sport as some others and usually in hockey its not a thing to blame the refs like it is in football. Why do you bother so much about it? Poland is not supposed to win against Sweden anyway its such a discrepancy its about a 1 in 10 chance for Poland to win against Sweden. You need to focus on beating teams like Kazakhstan and France where you have realistic chances of winning. I think Poland did better against Sweden than anyone had expected. I know its no fun to loose but if i where you i would feel proud of how Poland play and not whine beacuse you did play well. Refs were not against you but misjudgements happen.

Więc co było szybciej cios v twarz czy wysoki kij. I czy cios v twarz nie kwalifikował się na karę. To co było później było konsekwencją tego ataku Szweda.

Sorry ale Szwed zrobił czyściutki body check . A zawodnik jest zawsze odpowiedzialny za pozycję kija . Delikatny kontakt rękawicy z twarzą Polaka to nie jest kara . Za to zawodnik zawsze jest odpowiedzialny z pozycję kija . Sędziowie w 100% postąpili prawidłowo .

As a swede I'm with you, but even if they see it when reviewing the penalty. They are only allowed to judge the penalty on the ice. They can't add penalties on the review. Just appreciate the hockey. You did well. As well as you could. The odds of Poland beating this swedish team is about 1% chance with or without bad refs. Move on, beat the competition you have a good chance of winning against and be happy. You should beacuse you played great :)

What a shame this refereeing from Switzerland The Poles played very well against a strong opponent. The referee came up with this double sending off of the Poland national team player, although on the replay everyone can see that the Swedish player also hit the Pole in the face. Only this removal allowed Sweden to score two goals and kill the intrigue. The IIHF has disgraced itself as usual.😄😆🙂

If you review a play you can only judge that play, the rules don't allow you to find other penalties. You can blame the refs for missing it live but you can't fault them for not giving it during the review. They are simply not allowed to.

It's very funny that the referees had to help strong Sweden defeat the weak Poles... Bravo Poland! A very strong game for a team that hasn’t played elite hockey for 20 years.

Also Sweden had 3-1 before the penalty, u are deluded if u think Poland would score 2 goals in 6 min against Sweden.

Help? It was 3-1 and 6 mins left, this game was already over. Also they didnt even try there or do you really think a team with EK65, Hedman, kempe, raymond and other top stars would struggle here if they would try? Still great effort from poland, respect to them

@@kiko.Poland it was 1 thing they did against poland and it did not change something. Sweden dont need any help to win here 😅 Poland can be lucky that sweden maybe played with 30% here. If they would had played like against USA then this would had been a completly blowout. But sweden choose to have some fun here, playing slow and preparing for tomorrow and so we could watch a "equal" match.

Not impressed with this swedish team so far, but I think they will get better as the tournament progresses. Poland you did very well! be proud! you got awesome fans too!

nie to że śmieszne - po prostu nieuczciwe i krzywdzące, to samo odnosi się do Białorusi, sport bez polityki w całości powinien być, a nie że jednych dopuszczamy a drugich już nie... wiele na tym tracą te mistrzostwa ale mam nadzieję, że już wkrótce dojdzie do normalizacji.. z Bogiem (!)

38 shots on goal and only 3 goals if we exclude powerplays. This wasn't a good match if Sweden had 38 shots on goal and made a lot of mistakes. Poland played pretty bad too because they didn't have any dangerous goal chances like in the match against Latvia. If it wasn't for those 3 goals in the beginning this could have ended up being a fiasco like Belarus at Salt Lake City Olympics 2002.
