VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
David and Shelby are the young couple of Aimless Travels! They converted their 26 ft; 2002 Thomas Built bus Charlotte, into an incredible winter wonderland adventure mobile! David's background in construction allowed him to create an efficient space with all of the perks of home. The streamlined garage with all utilities in one spot, and the recirculating water concept in the bathroom make their skoolie cozy as they travel in winter. The epoxy kitchen counter hack brought the beauty into the bus without the cost! Powered with the DIY spirit David and Shelby created a life that allows them to continue on with their personal career goals, all while adventuring across the country for the last year. Thanks for the awesome tour of your tiny home, Aimless Travels!

With the amount of new power options out there, tiny home builders are getting clever. This couple used a Tesla battery to power their DIY tiny house on wheels!

Have you heard of people using Prius hybrid battery packs? They should be more plentiful than Tesla battery packs. Haven't found a van build using hybrid battery packs so hope you have better luck finding them.

Please let us know what battery management system (bms) you use for your Tesla battery pack? What would you suggest for a 48 volt system using two Tesla batteries modules?

I liked the solar/battery setup. The oven corner might not get so hot if the oven wasn’t in that corner. If those are pieces on the wall next to and behind the stove are tin they may be holding the heat in the corner. Didn’t quite get the water setup for the bathroom. Have to look that up. Sounds interesting!

First van that I've seen that uses a recirculating shower. That's what I want in my van but I didn't know if it was possible in a van, glad to find that it is. Seems like the only sensible option to me because otherwise you have to either carry loads of water or have very short showers; neither of which I'm keen on. Thanks for sharing.

Most stay at public BLM land (Bureau of Land Management), state parks, national parks, etc. for stays longer than one or two nights. For one night stays, like when you're driving lonv distance and just need somewhere to stays until you reach your destination, most stay at rest areas, truck stops, or Wal-Mart/Cracker Barrel/etc. parking lots (these companies generally allow overnight RV parking, but it's always good to ask a specific location if it's okay).
