VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Devon and April backpacked the world together, visiting different continents and working in various places for over a year. During their travels, they realized that they hadn't seen much of the states. They also learned about van-life and were intrigued. When they returned home, they began to look into different rigs and were drawn to ambulances because they knew their goal was to travel rather than spend time building and so much of the ambulance is already done for you. They found a 2002 Ford E450 ambulance, spent a few weekends in the Home Depot parking lot making it work for them and have been on the road for 6 months. They're obviously doing well because their next venture is Alaska!

Best comment I've ever heard: we spent the day at Home Depot and worked the whole day in the parking lot, and nobody ever disturbed us!!! What a wonderful idea!!! Tks, tks, tks!!!

I worked in an ambulance for 30 years. They are much nicer the way you make them. Please keep up the great work. Where do you keep your spare tire? You’re going to need one.

Fantastic! I am so glad you kept the cabinetry that was already there. It makes no sense to me that people rip all of that well built cabinetry just because it looks "medical" or whatever. I mean, you already paid for it. I like the changes you've made. Well done all the way around. Ambulances are the way to go imo. Bob Wells has one now, so 100000000% they are gonna go up in price and be harder and harder to find. Also, great videos of builds like yours will make it harder. But it's because it works so well and makes a lot of sense.

Looks homey and practical. I love this style of conversions more than the picture-perfect, high-end, Instagram-worthy ones. I wish this couple several happy years in their rig and one day perhaps a small (not necessarily tiny) home as a permanent base and many more adventures in their converted ambulance.

Lol, novices, more like folks who want a vehicle that could last, most RV’s are made badly, they look great, but once you start moving them around they start to come apart. And not everyone wants to put 20k to 40k into a build. Tiny homes are about saving space, using less resources, and saving money! Yet many now cost over 25k to over 100k, the same price as a full size house! Ambulances are pretty much ready to go when you buy them, if you want to gain more space, sure you can take them apart more, but having to do all those upgrades can get very expensive!

Novices? Wow, can you show us your amazing build? I have an ambulance, too and a cargo van - the "novice" remark is so inappropriate; this is all about how much you want it done and what you need. Don't for a second undermine this brilliant couple's skills and effort who have built an incredible home for themselves by calling them "novices".

Just a thought. The space where your inverter is. Maybe build a shelf across, IDK ? Seems like a hole there where you could use to fill in something. It’s really a huge cabinet with most everything on the back wall and not very tall equipment on the bottom. Make a cabinet in the cabinet? Great job guys! Love your design! Maybe in that spot you could bring in your Instant Pot? 👏🥰💞🏵

Love the fact that they built it out in the parking lot of Home Depot! But if they decided to not strip out the interior were they able to insulate the vehicle...which seems imperative for a stay in Alaska while they work???? I may have missed something.

Education and exposure to differences leads to the realization that we are really all the same living life. Without the condescending; awwwww, aren't they cute bless their heart stereotype. Asking a simple question and getting a matter of fact answer dispels any preconceived notions and life goes on as it should with brotherhood.
