High Tech Computer Mouse Has Peter In Raptures | Dragons’ Den

Ойын-сауық

Peter Jones: ""It hits all the buttons. I'm a boy, I love cars. It's my little dream" he gushes. However, he wants to know how many people like him are out there. David and Patti Bailey are pitching their wireless computer mice in the form of supercars. The duo keep composed whilst asking for an investment of £100,000 and in return, offer 20% of Motormouse.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

    @Travel Crawl She isn't the only dragon who says that and secondly, she's actually the one who's the most straightforward and doesn't seek to beat people down before claiming that she's out in general whereas Peter, Duncan and Theo have a habit of doing exactly that which is unnecessary drama instead of just claiming you're out but because they are guys, it doesn't seem to bother you. She is the fairest and nicest dragon who advises people well whether she's interested in investing or not, she's also not as egocentric as many of the other dragons such as Hilary Delvey, Doug Richard and Rachel Elnaugh. Insulting people and calling them dumb is pretty dramatic to be honest "what you see in others that you don't like can lead to understanding of yourself" seems to very relevant in this particular case.

    Easily one of the best presentations and handling of questions ever on Dragon's Den. The product was very cool, but it is saturated with crappy cheap Chinese knock offs, even back when this pitch was made. The big problem that I don't think they even realised was how good the deal was for James Caan. He owns 40% of the company with only 24k at risk. Including a freehold property within the company that James now owns 40% means he is guaranteed that asset and a 96k stake in it. Basically he just invested 96k into a property and gave them 24k for the 40% share. If they had agreed on the 50/50 split, James would have been given 50% of the company for free, and he would have owned a 120k property investment!

    Correct. These novelty mice are just that; a novelty. All that these two have designed is an overpriced Christmas stocking present.

    The best mouse I ever had, for work and for gaming was a stand that didn't move, so no desk space needed, your hand sat on it and it just had a ball that you moved wherever you wanted the pointer to go and the left and right click where either side and a blue light lit up when you moves the ball. Not sure I've explained it very well but it was brilliant. Can't seem to buy them now, but I couldn't understand why the idea never caught on, it was amazingly designed.

  • @ccggenius

    @ccggenius

    2 жыл бұрын

    looking at the images on their site, the tires appear to be lifted a bit by the body of the mouse, so no issues except maybe when you're picking it up and holding it at an angle, but that's a mouse settings issue, not a mouse issue.

    I thought that, but they could always just produce various sizes (there are basically three mouse sizes that make up probably 90% of mice, the rest being full-ergonomic specialty mice like trackball/joystick etc)
