Prayers for the three of them and her daughters.. hopefully her sister came around eventually and saw the sacrifices & just how far Cheryl went for her

Cheryl and Rob have got to be two of the strongest people I’ve ever seen featured here in Crime Watch. I am SO glad that she/they survived this nightmare of their youth and also glad Rob is still with his family. Cheryl’s father can continue to rot in the fires of hell - exactly where he belongs assuming there is a hell. Cheryl endured a hell on Earth….may her remaining days be full of peace and love.

My ex father in law molested & raped all 3 of his daughters, a grandchild, & idk how many other females in his lifetime. When I was 19, he got super friendly with me. I backed away & he straightened up when someone came into the room. After that, I never let him close enough to touch me. Out of everything he did, he spent only 15 mo in county jail & that was for the grandchild, his son's little girl. He should've been given a permanent prison cell. Apparently, he's changed & has repented. I still avoid him at all costs. My granddaughter's not allowed anywhere near him or his house.

This kind of thing happens a lot when the mother dies or leaves and there is a daughter in the house. I just wonder how that would’ve played out. He would’ve likely gotten a baby slap on the wrist and then probably set his sights on someone else and even possibly retaliate against her. Who know how many more people would’ve been victimized by him. He would probably still be out living in this world being a nasty evil POS. Normally I would never say this, but I am glad that he’s gone! Especially since although their lives were “changed”, they weren’t RUINED. They persevered. Also, the onus is on you as a survivor to recognize the depravity of your abuser and deal with the abuse. We are all survivors in this terrible club, some of us are alive, some have died, those of us who are alive need fo heal this trauma and pain so that we don't pass it on to our kids. Godspeed sis

After graduating from high school I worked with a classmate. This was in the mid 1970’s. She was from a prominent landowning family. One day she confided that starting when she and her sister were young girls, their mother would take one daughter every Saturday and shop. Their father would stay with the daughter at home and molest (rape) the remaining daughter. The next Saturday would be the other’s turn. All of this was done with the mother’s full knowledge and consent. I was shocked and naive. I had no idea things like this went on. It’s a fact that from the earliest times when peasants, and then landowners and the nobility were around, the peasants didn’t have the time, imagination and power to indulge in pornographic acts. They were busy just surviving. However, the wealthy had plenty of time on their hands, the inclination, motivation, and the sense of entitlement to indulge. Thus nothing through the centuries has changed and has only gotten worse.

So the girl who crashed her car into the house at the end of the video pleaded not guilty? How is that possible? What possible justification is there that she was high, speeding with passengers, careened off the road 100ft and airborne hit a house with such force that neighbours thought there had been an explosion! And two children died in their home watching tv! How is it legal that such an obvious open and shut case can be pled not guilty? This is sickening. Beautiful love story. Most of us can only dream of finding someone who would stand by us the way Rob stood by Cheryl. Very inspiring.

Thus victim blaming drives me mad! Asking a child if they pulled away or said no ? And what if they didn't? So what? The child has NO responsibility to control the abuser. It shouldn't even have been a thought let alone a question.

Hearts and prayers go out to the continued strength of the love between both Rob and Cheryl. As for the second segment, I wholeheartedly agree that a life sentence with no chance of parole be dealt to that stupid 17-yr-old who ended two lives and destroyed a family! As the mother stated: the culprit's mother can visit her in prison but we have to go to a cemetery to see OUR daughters!

So happy Rob woke up, sadly I lost my father due to a heart attack and it took 60 minutes to get a pulse back but unfortunately the damage done to his brain was catastrophic 😢. I had to say bye to my father that day and it's the absolute hardest thing to deal with its actually hard to write this . But all I can say is love you mom and dad and make sure you tell them everyday. ❤

Her father sounds like mine so much. He scared me and beat me, he really got off on being macho. People thought it's a normal farm family. They didn't know females waited on males, and if a female tried to get a piece of meat at mealtime, he'd stab your hand with a fork. He came to the barn when I was doing my chores and show me the bull f'n the cow, then take me up the ladder. I was scared and whispered I don't want to. He would get pissed. Every day of my life is ruined because of his incest. I won't forgive and get over it.

People always say “just tell someone”, “tell the police” etc. I was 8 when I was first abused and I told that very day. I was scared and couldn’t even find the words to tell what happened because I didn’t even really know what happened, I was only 8! I just knew it wasn’t right. My mom did absolutely nothing. In fact, I got a whooping for being “inappropriate”. Did you think I went on to tell anyone else and get “help”? No. It’s not on children to have “adult like” responses to trauma that shouldn’t happen in the first place. It’s on the adult to not do that sick mess in the first darn place! I wish someone would’ve saved me. The truth is, too often this happens and nothing is done whether you tell someone or not!
