I’d love to see some soy free high protein recipes! my stomach is extremely sensitive to soy and I’ve been struggling to get enough protein in since I cut it out

I took a beginning foods class last year and the first thing the teacher asked me was “where do you get your protein?” because I told her I was vegetarian. I ended up dropping the class two weeks in. She had no idea what she was talking about..
Hi sarah . Italian vegan cook here . Bologna is a city , so even if different regions may switch the recipe the proper recipe is the one from bologna and you did exactly the write thing ! yep...no garlic. It s even better with small green lentils instead of mince , that s how Italian vegans make ragù alla Bolognese but yours looks amazing. Big hug ❤

This is so good to know, thank you! We'll have to try it with lentils instead of tofu 😋

Don't you cook Bolognese for hours usually? I mean we do - 2 to 3 hours I think but of course you make a big pan full of it and then keep portions in the freezer

it's possible I just am paying attention to it now but the explanations in this video are really good! like explaining each step and why we're doing it, what is the role of each ingredient, etc. something like "sugar goes from caramellized to burnt really fast" is so useful to know and really shows how good you are at explaining the fundamentals of cooking

Yes, you learn the fundamentals of good techniques and understand why something is done, versys only learning one recipe. Sarah is a great teacher.

research has shown whole food plant based to reverse type too and animal products to increase development (check out the China study). Def find a plant based nutritionist if you can. Hope you are doing well!

I'm so impressed with your chopping skills, I had to watch that part twice. I just can never get my veggies diced small.
Hi Sarah! I follow many vegan content creators, but I have to say, I really think that you are my favorite. 🥰 I just love your approach to food, with all your fresh wholesome ingredients (but also throwing in some naughtier ingredients like impossible meat here and there). And I just love your laid back easy vibe, and the vibes between you and Eric. You are simply lovely, and I'm always excited to see a new video come out (because I always want to make ALL the recipes!). Thank you for being you, and for sharing your yummy recipes with us! ❤️

the way you say "bolognese" make me cry of happiness
Sarah, I really love your videos. I have followed you for a while now, and somehow ended up unfollowed for a while, but found my way back. Your videos and recipes have elevated, and I want to commend you on your hard work. Thank you so much! FYI, for those interested… Sofritto (Italian) is garlic, onion, peppers, and tomatoes. Mirepoix (French) is carrot, celery, and onion. Holy trinity (Cajun) is onions, peppers, and celery. Trinity (Indian) is onion, garlic, and chili. Sometimes ginger is added, but that is more than a trinity, and regional/personal preference. As a formally trained cook, this is informational, to help people keep the appropriate flavor profiles, in case they hear those terms, in the future.
Thank you for sharing these. I have some health issues and it’s difficult for me to get enough protein in my diet. These recipes are perfect and I truly appreciate your channel. You’ve helped me in health journey and give me hope in wanting to try to enjoy food again.
Great video! As someone who's trying to incorporate more plant-based meals into my diet, this was really helpful. I love how simple and straightforward these meal prep ideas are, and it's awesome to see that they're high in protein too. I'll definitely be giving some of these a try. Thanks for sharing!🤗
These all look amazing! I'm definitely making the bolognese! Also, you and your boy are so sweet, I love how much he hypes you up.
The tempeh looks incredible
Thanks for making realistic recipes---affordable, easy-to-find ingredients, and don't take too much time. Much appreciated!
I love the Barilla protein pasta! That and green veggie pasta is the only pasta I buy now.
The lentil burgers were almost the same as "Bun Kebab" , a Pakistani street food burger. Though meat is used but it's highly optional ( the street vendors don't use meat anyway) . It's all about spices and Texture. I'd highly recommend.
Tvp is great in bolognese! We use it all the time for anything needing a ground beef or turkey substitute so you are spot on there
I made the bolognese and added chopped mushrooms, a dash of cumin, garam masala and smoked paprika. It was delicious !
And I really appreciate high protein recipes.
It looks delicious! I just had something similar but with lentils instead of tofu, but would love to try this!
Thanks for sharing these yummy 😋 high protein vegan meals Sarah and debunking the misguided myth that there's no protein in a vegan diet. I am not dying from a protein deficiency. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞❤ Sarah & Eric.
Hi sara, made the bolognese lastnight and used chickpea linguini, my husband and I loved did it!!!! Can't believe tofu tasted that good! I will be making the lentil burgers today!
Hey Sarah! I’m new wanting to try this new lifestyle on plant food! I eat eggs for years. I did keto years ago. I’m 55 now . I want to eat healthy and get lean! I still have some belly fat. I have a weakness with pizza’ peanut butter! I gave up fried food like chicken! I gave up soda. I eat oatmeal with blueberries and nuts.
Hi Sarah. I'm not a vegan but I tried the bolognes because it looked so good. I loved it and I look forward to trying more of your recipes. Thank you!
I tried your first recipe and it put a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing!!
I will try that recipe soon for sure! I love using tofu in bolognese but to achieve more meaty texture I always crumble it, add some soy souce and oil and bake it until it gets brown and dry and then I add it to a souce, it has a really convincing texture
@richardaxelsson3378

If you freeze it first it will change the texture too!
the pasta looks so good
I absolutely love the way you present your recipes! Always very informative yet to-the-point; you really know your stuff. The variety in this video is excellent. Also you and Eric are a breath of fresh air! So dang cute 😊
❤ I love how Eric moved to shield you when you turned your back to try the first dish. Such a gentleman! ❤
Hey Sarah! I’am new with eating vegan ! Plant based! I did keto years ago! Eating eggs and salmon for years! This all sounds so delicious and new for me! I need all the help
Made the Tempeh BLT...so good! My picky 16-year-old son even liked it...thanks for the quality vids!
Your cooking videos always get me so hungry! Probably not a good idea to be watching pass midnight lol! Jokes aside I’ve been watching you for many years and I love your content. ❤❤❤
I just made the tempeh blt sandwhich! Sooooo good!!!!
I love love love the tempeh "BLT" and also do that happy food dance every time I eat that epic sandwich!!!
Wasn't hungry. Am now. Off to cook! Some tasty looking goodies there!!
We made your roasted tomato soup tonight and sat down to eat. Your video popped right on up as we opened KZread. 😂 This was an unexpected surprise and such a great video! All of these recipes looked really good and were definitely going to try them. Thank you for posting great content. :)
I think vegan is the answer. I'm desperate to be healthy. Both of my parents had dementia, so I left work and had to defecate and urinate for a long time on my own. Last year, they both passed away after 3 months. It was stressful. After my parents passed away, all I had was physical and heartache. I got a brain aneurysm and two brain aneurysms on my head. I even had hypothyroidism and suddenly I gained 15kg. Anxiety disorder Panic disorder I'm still experiencing insomnia. It's been a year since my parents died and I'm still in treatment, but I've only started again. I've had the courage to share and communicate, so I started KZread, took a walk, and traveled. Now I want to be healthy. I want everyone watching this video to be healthy. When you lose your health, you lose everything.
Thanks. I will definitely be trying some of these!
Everything looks super good! I'd love to see the macros of each serving, is this something you calculate? Couldn't find it on the recipe website either. Keep it up, you're such a great inspiration!
Wow all of these recipes are really great, we will start trying them this week!
Great variety of protein options. Thanks.
Happy Sunday! Thank you for this video ❤
@Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen Love the recipes! I use tofu a lot. It’s a staple in my house as well as TVP and soy curls. Again love the recipes you just gained a new sub! 😊
Good Sunday evening Sarah. Those vegan lentil burgers look absolutely healthy and delicious, with just enough the right amount of protein . Thanks so much for providing one of your great recipes. Without a doubt, I'm definitely going to try it. 👍
Thank you so much for this, i need some good inspiration for high protein meals, that I can implement in my routine.
This video just reminded me that before we went vegan I used to make those meatballs ALL THE TIME! I forgot because we’ve been aiming to be WFPB as much as possible but what a lovely throwback to our past life and they’re so easy and delicious. Thank you!!
Loved this, always looking for that better vegan burger recipe. Will try.
those lentil burgers look really nice. definitely going to try those
Everything looks absolutely amazing, thank you so much for sharing
Delicious stuff! Will definitely try some of these out!
Once again right on the money with lovely ideas and a great video! Just when I was thinking I need to start incorporating more lentils and whole foods into my life. Love your balance with some faux-meats included but overall whole ingredients! Tnx =)
This cooklist slaps! Thank you! Can't wait to try :)
Love your videos! I make thia with Lentils and its soooooo good
I love all these recipes so much!!!!
Everything looks so delicious
I love lentil burgers! Yummy. I’m going to try this way with my black bean burgers too. I’m celiac so I use crumbled corn chips instead of bread crumbs

New sub and new vegan here. I have been so afraid to go vegan because I don't cook and I don't know anything about veggies either! I literally have one pan in my kitchen, no utensils other than a fork, a spoon and a knife, and no idea about any of the spices that you used, but I am taking notes and will definitely be cooking some of your recipes. The three that you showed in this video looked amazing, so I will start with those. Thank you! Hugs ❣❣❣
I just made the Tempeh bacon and it’s a hit for sure!!!
Everything looks so yummy and mouthwatering.🤤
editing was on point in this vid
Everything looks delicious!
I’m so hungry watching this lol. Everything looks delicious 🤗
You always have the best recipes! I always used oats in my burgers and meatloaf do you think they would work well in the lentil patties?
Gotta try this
Everything looks soo good! Wish tempeh was more accessible where I live (Helsinki). Not many stores have it and when they do it's expensive, even in asian stores. Maybe some day I can dabble into making it myself. I appreciate your videos a lot for meal inspiration but honestly my highlights are the sweet compliments your partner gives you! Shows his love and appreciation :)
I personally love making bolognese with seitan!! It turns out the best if you ask me💕
All of the recipes looked delicious can’t wait to try the veggie burgers🤤
The pasta looks great
Omg you’ve inspired me so hard!!! Gunna marinate some tofu I have on hand to make BLT’s for lunch
Thank you always looking for the high protein since I train as well. 😊
I love vegan/vegetarian youtube cooks, im not either, but you guy always have great recipes, and i dont eat often so high protein meals are definitely useful for me! Only change I did was lentils instead of tofu, and mmmmm perfect! I normally love garlic but leaving it out was perfect and definitely the right choice!
Grape nuts cereal is a great bread crumb substitute. They soak up moisture without drying stuff out.
Your bf is so nice you guys are such a sweet couple so nice to see! Thanks for the burger ideas I should use tempeh more I usually just use block tofu and I never got into black bean burgers i guess I'm a picky eater
Your videos are the highlight of my Sundays 🙌🏻
I would like to mention that regular wheat pasta, bread or whatever is already pretty high in protein in and of itself. Those regular little 16 oz box of wheat pasta has about 64g or about 21g for 1/3 box

Exactly!! Especially the weight loss and alleged fitness people seem convinced it's nothing but carbs. Wheats have protein, lots of it.
The burgers look great
Totally appreciate the more vegetable forward approach with a focus on pantry staples. It’s super helpful when doing meal prep for the week so I’m not spending a ton of money on stuff I’ll use once.
Thank You for sharing, these recipes look so yummy🥳 I will add to to my Meal Prep this Week 🏋🏾
Hey I made your meatball recipe tonight for dinner (with some tofu per your recent Insta story) and they were SO good!!! Will be making again for sure… thank you!!
That tofu bolognese is an inspiration! I must try it. Thank you for sharing
Thanks imma try this 😌
Thanks for this, I might try the Bolognese.
Hey Sarah, everything looks so yummy! I'm not Vegan but I only eat meat once or twice a week so I'm a frequent visitor to your channel for inspiration. Keep the recipe coming. One note though, I believe you meant mirepoix and not soffrito to start your bolognese.

Thanks for watching! As for the veggies, Italians call carrots, onion, and celery cooked in olive oil "soffritto." So, same ingredients, different name.
Those lentil burgers were so good!
Just had a late 90s/early 00s flashback when you talked about LMNT. Does anyone else remember the boy band LMNT formed from the people who didn't make the cut for the band O-Town on the original version of MTV's Making the Band? I haven't thought about them probably since that time, but suddenly remembered them during the sponsor promo.
“I had to exercise every ounce of self control not to add garlic anyway” Yeah I’m gonna add garlic anyway 😂😂
Yummo .... i just love your channel and all your food inspo❤
Thank you for these! I'm trying to get my protein up due to PCOS so this is extremely helpful 💚
I am subscribed for more videos, I am needing ideas for a vegan like style❤❤❤
Great, superb high protein Vegan recipes Sarah 😊 Will definitely give those a try 👍
The best plant ground beef is a combination of blitzed mushrooms and chickpeas. I got the idea from an Americas Test Kitchen video.
I want that bolagnese now! It looks amazing. Hungry. It is lunch time.
I can’t even express how much I enjoy this channel. You inspire me so much and have for the last 5+ years. ❤
I really love your content as a professional cook trying to go vegan
Nice recipes! Loved the idea of the meatballs. Going to try this :D
I always used to soak my TVP in hot water before cooking it but then saw a vegan chef saying he just adds it dry to the sauce because it soaks up the sauce flavours instead of water and since trying it it really makes the TVP extra flavourful 😊
This bacon Tempe is sooo goood!
They all looked delicious!
Very informative and fun to watch. I'd love to have more tempeh or tofu in my diet. How about marinades to prep tofu for stir fry. Also loved your section on herbs and lettuce in water. I heard using the tops and some stem of scallions and leaving some stem will produce shoots. How to grow micro greens would be great to know. Thanks so much for making it fun to watch 🤗
