I'm trying to install an allied 105A battery in a Club car precedent. I installed the battery but not the solenoid. The battery tuns off immediately when the power in engaged. I did not install the solenoid supplied or the voltage converter, hoping the club car units would be ok. Could this be causing my problem?

Great video. I put new batteries in my cart. Big battery 48 volt. I was driving with fully charged batteries and my cart just locked up. It wouldn’t move at all. Shut off all power, unplugged the batteries. Plugged it all back together and got it back home. Motor controller? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

That’s odd, stock motor and controller? Also what model from big battery?

Sorry not Big Battery. Trojan Motives 48volt. Standard motor and controller on an EZ GO.

Hmm that’s interesting. First I’d use a volt meter on the main positive and negative from the battery pack to make sure you are getting 48v. Then I would go through checking electrical connections to make sure nothing is loose. My club car was doing that a while back and after cleaning the connections on the solenoid it hasn’t done that since. Since you were able to get it going, I would assume loose connection or overheating.

I'm getting a lot of resistance trying to find places to do this. They're mostly all telling me it'll never go over 31-32 mph. Can I give them specific instructions & parts to achieve this? I don't need to do wheelies but I want to be able to go over 30 mph consistently. We have a lot of hills.

My cart will top out at 35-36 mph on flat with the Navitas 600a 5kw motor/controller combo and pretty much any lithium I’ve tried. I will typically hit 20-25 on fairly steep hills. I was getting 32-33 mph with lead acid on flat. There’s multiple factors that go into it (tire size, gear ratio, voltage). I’ve been chasing 40 mph and have come to the realization that voltage is everything. The cart I’m currently building is 72v and should cruise at 45-50 mph.

@@projectkarr Thanks for that. I'm quite surprised of all the golf cart guys I talked to nobody has done anything other than battery upgrade. They are all saying 30 max-ish. My lead original batteries got me about that when new. I'm hoping to figure something out.

@@projectkarr Holy cow 45 mph? I just bought LiTime 48v 30ah (I don't drive far at all, couple miles at a time) and am ready to wire it up. I have a 2013 EZGO RXV. I've scoped out the wiring. Do I have to worry about the new lithium ion single battery overpowering my motor? I don't know what watts the engine is but I assume it's 2000-3000 watt. Would love your input before I hook it up -- hate to FRY something! Luv your videos. Best I've seen on lithium ion battery golf cart action.

Here’s a link to the kit that you can purchase. Deals constantly change so I didn’t want to post a particular site. I also wanted people to see that there’s multiple ah options. www.extremekartz.com/allied-lithium-48v-105ah-single-bank-golf-cart-battery-kit/?sku=AB-CMCL-48V-105AH&adpos=&scid=scplp&sc_intid=&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqsitBhDlARIsAGMR1RhyVC32xnvRcsjrCdNJrh8jN0CidvWWnSB5NpoWW9qrH45S09LWT70aAr6yEALw_wcB
