Thank you so much!!!! All the videos I watched on converting my club car never say anything about those two wires from the charge plug. Been stressing about what to do, now I know. I have a different design club car than you so my conversion to a different charging port for lithium was easier, accessing on board computer was a bit more involved. Thanks again for posting this video you helped me a lot.

DUDE LOOK INTO UPGRADING YOUR BMS. WE DO IT AT MY SHOP IN SOUTH CAROLINA. KICK BACK TO THIS IS, BMS' ARE SUPPOSE TO BE OPTIMIZED FOR THE TYPE OF CELL BEING MANAGED, SO BY PUTTING HIGHER CONTANT DISCHARGE BMS IN WILL HAVE MORE STRESS ON THE CELL MODULES, BUT WHATS TO LOSE WITH SUCH A WARRANTY ALLIED OFFERS. PUT A 200A CONSTANT IN AND YOU MAY LOSE 2-3 YEARS DUE TO HEAVIER DEMAND ON THE CELLS THEMSELF. BUT ITS WORTH IT TO ME RATHER THAN BEING STRANDED AND PAYING A BS PRO RATED WARRANTY. PAY LESS TO HAVE A NEW HIGHER BMS IN THE THING

Really well put together video and information. I just installed the ECO Battery 51V 105AH thru hole kit in my club car precedent and it fit like a glove. No cutting to get it to sit flat and the positive and negative is opposite so the cables are long enough. Not being critical of your install but thought I would share. A little tip for the next time you want to drill a hole in existing spot where old battery light is just take a piece of scrap wood and you can use a spring clamp to hold it and this way you have a solid spot to start your pilot bit on your hole saw and it shouldn't move around on you.Merry Christmas.

I too have the 2x2 precedent with the controller/computer in the middle. I have purchased the battery but needed to “remove” the controller to get the battery to fit. I have temporarily connected the battery to the neg and pos leads (4) and get power to the engine as planned (push pedal and go). But cart lights and horn do not work. in your video you talk about not needing the computer but in your response above it seems to indicate that you do need the controller. i’m not sure the difference?
