High Noon - Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling

Ойын-сауық

High Noon - Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling.
Will Kane (Gary Cooper), the longtime marshal of Hadleyville, New Mexico Territory, has just married pacifist Quaker Amy Fowler (Grace Kelly) and turned in his badge. He intends to become a storekeeper elsewhere. Suddenly, the town learns that Frank Miller (Ian MacDonald), a criminal whom Kane brought to justice, is due to arrive on the noon train...
You know it's gonna be a bad day when you start it by writing your will ...

High noon has many qualities to it it is as great a picture as gone with the wind or Casablanca after all these years it is probably being realized this film had quite a bit of clout to it Casablanca made bogey what he is gone with the wind made a great star out of Vivian Lee but high noon is an All-Star movie filled with character actors and television actors from that period Cooper deservedly won the best Oscar award this did not happen for Bogart or Gable in two best known roles nominating a western for anything rarely happens John Wayne in true grit Oscar high noon has to go up on the charts as one of the greatest films ever made the awards that it was given were deserved only the New York's film critics award for Best picture tells you which award it wasn't given because of the really rotten politics of the 1950s that have finally come back to try to take us all over again hopefully everyone will stand up like Cooper did in this film we can only hope like I said one of the greatest movies one of the 10 greatest films of all time!!!

This movie showed that for Sheriff Cane, the principal was more important than his life. He didn't want to be a lying coward in his grave, but a brave man who fought against the threat to his life, while the entire town backstabbed him for money.

This was my dad's favourite film 🎥. He used to sing the song to. My dad had dementia and vascular dementia. And we would play this song plus he was a jim reeves fan to. And he rembered all the words to all the songs 🎵. Yet he thought that our mum was still alive. It's a horrible disease for everyone who's family member who has this rotten disease. Wouldn't wish it on any one.

This scene is a true masterpiece. In few seconds the Director was able to describe the loliness of a man who knows what is right to do even if it will cost his life. Aside from this the miserable selfishness of common men who sit and watch. Afraid of being involved. But ready to clap the winner.. whoever it will be. that's why this scene is immortal. Cause Men are always the same.

It’s interesting that my three favorite westerns-High Noon, The Searchers, and The Big Country-all end with just this kind of moment. The hero stands alone, somewhat confused, but still determined. In The Big Country, three of the major character-Jean Simmons, Greg Peck, and Charlton Heston-all face it in succession. Also, all three were made in the mid-50s, within a span of 6 years.
