I saw this in the theatre when I was 8 yrs old. I fell in love with Horst Buchholz at 8 yrs old. 🥰 My mother fell in love with Brad Dexter’s eyes.🥰I remember her saying how beautiful they were while watching the movie. Yule Bryner was THE MAN with that commanding walk/stride. My brother wanted to be Steve McQueen and my parents had to immediately buy him toy but realistic looking guns and rifles. -- and my poor father had to keep getting up in the theatre to replenish our popcorn, candy and Coca Colas. What a great childhood we had -- my brother and I -- and all of the kids in my average middle class neighborhood. We had no responsibilities except having fun, playing outside during the day and board games on weekend nights, sleep overs on Fridays and Saturdays and school during the week. All good kids and parents. They watched out for us all. If there is a God please take me back. I’m completely done with this world in 2022.

1960s had many action movies. Much better movies than today.
One of the best westerns ever made
super-duper my favorite cowboy movie and music.
These were the stars I watched growing up in the 60s. As little boys we saw them as icons of masculinity, courage and kindness. Most of the current actors are movie midgets in comparison.

This is a period of my life I'd like to live over again. Great stars and even greater movies
Unbelievable that this is from the 60s! What a movie! The score, the cast, the action, every thing was awesome! No words!

Impressive movie for that time..
This musical score is sheer musical brilliance. He was able to capture the essence of the American west with instruments. Genius composer.
Words fail me - what can one say, one of the very best movie themes ever written, with an all star cast to boot, no matter how many times I watch it, it hits the nail again and again.
What a great film! Unfortunately, the latest news is the death of Robert Vaughn, the last of The Magnificent Seven. God bless him. RIP

That beautiful Mexican girl in the film, seen at the end, Rosenda Monteros, also passed in 2018. Such a beauty.

One of those movies where you just have to wonder... why in the HELL did they think a remake would be any good?!

Though it was also a Remake! Kurosawa made the original in 7 Samurai, in 1954! :D The cast however of the 1960 Western is unbeatable! I fully agree!

Toni Tuhkanen The remake was a joke. There aren’t actors like this anymore!
Still one of the great Westerns - remember seeing it at the Civic Theatre in Auckland NZ - with my brother on a Xmas visit with Grandma, I was 6 or 7! The great Eli Wallach the only one left!
Easily one of the best movies Iv ever seen..love it!! Steve McQueen..class!
This movie is a classic not just because of the well filmed action sequences but for the really cool dialogue indicative of the time it was made. Even the bad guys had great lines. Eli Wallach "We're surrounded! All 50 of us. ''
