Hidden Neighbor Parts on Drawings in Tekla Structures

Ғылым және технология

Sometimes you need a dimension to provide a mark, such as the profile size, for another object or assembly near the drawing you are working on. By using hidden neighbor parts, you can turn on these objects for adding marks and dimensions, or just for checking purposes, without them showing up on the final printed drawing.

Hi and thanks for a useful tip. I've got one question. Do you ever find that visibility of neighbor part does not work in single part drawing in case if the parts are connected by "Add to assembly"? If the single parts are welded it works and neighbor part is vissible in single part drawing. But if the are added into assembly only (without weld) it doesn:t work.

Is it possible to have neighbors part from inserted IFC model? I wanted to ask is it possible that IFC model to be presented in the drawings (without conversion to tekla parts) or not?

Is it possibile to change the color of the hidden line? I'm using black background while doing drawings and the dark blue hidden line is bearly visible and difficult to work with.

I am not aware of a setting to change this.

You could assign hidden lines a certain color, then ensure that color's line weight is 0 in your print settings.
