❤📚 Fun video. You read some really good books. I loved Rebecca. I read My Cousin Rachel in 2023 and found Daphne Du Maurier's writing just as good in this story! I have Jamaica Inn on my tbr now. 😊

Well done! That jar is building up and you are making a nice dent in your shelf tbr! Cold snowy winter days are my favorite time for reading but I have barely read anything this month. My mom has been visiting since Christmas and we have been working a 2000 piece puzzle until she goes to bed, then I read until I got to bed (or fall asleep) not very long lol. I finished Dune last year and loved it, audio book all way though.

The Dune audiobook was so well done and really enhanced the story. You’ll be able to watch Dune in its entirety then when Part 2 comes out.

Rebecca is a wonderful book. I also really liked Jamaica Inn and Frenchman's Creek though it has been years. I loved Dune but it is a dense book to get through and am looking to read Hyperion this year.

Hope you enjoy Hyperion. I found it very different than what I normally read and it did something that, to me, signifies a good book and that is I am still thinking about parts of the book and the environments he created.

I hope you can continue reading Hyperion cantos. The writing style won't be the same, but you will find plenty of twists and surprises later on. I think my most fav books I read in January were Rebecca and Dune. I also enjoyed the book called Double Star by Robert A Heinlein. It's about an actor who has to pretend to be someone else. And the setting is in Mars and Earth. Of course, the story is a bit more complex than that.
