@@degayify animation memes are the kinda just videos where you animate a character doing something with a song in the background. But it's mostly just head bobbing or minimal movement. Many people dislike them because in a way it's just saying "hey guys look, my character did the cool song thing haha he's cool too right?! XD" in a (not always) lazy way. Oh and it's circled around in the furry community a bunch, which I'm guessing is adding to it's general disliking.

I thought the original cartoon will be just a silly goofy recollection of the old times, the black-haired guy will be a meanie friend and it will end with him becoming disheveled and his ditzy buddy becoming a late bloomer through healthy life and with a beautiful girl for some reason. So I watched the whole thing, I guessed about a quarter correctly, and I'm incredibly sad.
