    That's pretty neat! I would have tried to prove that the derivative in the red area is zero when you move the point

    This property is NOT unique to (regular) hexagons. It's also true to squares. If I'm not mistaken, this is true to ALL regular 2n-gons or 4n-gons. I haven't got the time to check this part though.

    that same quality is shared by any even-gon. don't take me wrong. I do believe that hexagons are the bestagons but this propertly is shared by half the infinite polygons. which means it's shared by an infinite amount of polygons.
