Hahahahahahah the same to me, now its like boost the nostalgia and make each castle's song legendary, summoning all those memories. In fact I think that I used to play on Midi, since I played the demo a lot. Broken Alliance like hell, epic resistance spirit in battles against the fuckin purple hahahaha with his titans and more if he conquered other castles, with a huge hero after destroying all the fuckin world xD. I must say I was a fuckin warrior on a child omg for fighting all those difficulties... With.... Maybe 7 years old 🤣. No doubt Heroes increase your knowledge and intelligence. Master piece, thanx 3DO.

My dad let me sit on his lap when I was 3 and we’d play this together, little me deciding what to do, as dad would steer it so we didn’t just lose because I didn’t fully understand it. I actually learned to read and count my resources just to stubbornly be able to play it by myself when dad couldn’t play it with me because he was busy. I remember 3 more fondly because I played it more when I was old enough to actually remember, but I still have a stark pang of nostalgia for what was basically my first video game. I don’t play the games as much as I used to, but I do go back to them every now and again. I will forever love these games.

I was 12 years old when I played this game and listen to this magical music. I remember how this game used to give me shivers, all the atmosphere was so mysterious to me. Part of me is still the same child, fearing and admiring this greatness at the same time. Only now I find the same feeling in different things. I am bigger now but still feel just as small in the face of the whole world

For me the second one is

Man, the Warlock Town Theme is so incredibly powerful! It really captures the essence of Black Dragons and powerful spellcasters and I think that the original town music is vastly superior over the Price of Loyalty ones :) And the "Fields Theme" just gives me goosebumps, it's one of my favorite video game tracks of all time

it's musically very similar to the Necromancer town music in Price of Loyalty. I prefer the 1st Ost to this one , well , just a matter of taste . I love all their OST :;)

Great childhood game. The most beloved of the parts ... Yes, part 3 is more diverse, but I have never met such a magical atmosphere! And music and sounds finally immerse you in the eternal struggle of the sword and magic ..

Fields theme is just Amazing !!! So nice !!!

I remember my father taking me and my sister to Circuit City when I was 7 and picked up HOMAM2 little did we know that this franchise would turn into the main family game night game until I graduated from highschool now I have them to continue that tradition with my new family and yes I have 1-6.

I both love and hate listening to game OSTs. Sitting here listening to Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and I forgot how beautiful it is, but it also makes me sad because it makes me want to play it again instead of work. Plus, it just makes fond memories gush forth from a simpler time. Then so many of you post such similar comments or your own touching anecdotes and it all just kicks me right in the feels. #HoMM-Fam

Nostalgie Pur. Fields Theme! 7 Jahre Alt und mein Bruder 18 Jahre alt 😊. Wahnsinn wie mich das Spiel geprägt hat. Der Sound berührt mich sehr da viele schöne Erinnerungen hoch kommen. Ein Wahnsinn die immersion damals für mich. Die Gui liebe ins Detail usw. Das Spiel meiner Kindheit neben Dune 2000. Fand es immer super und mich erhaben da alle anderen keine Ahnung von den games hatten bzw kannten. 😂😂😅😊

I know Heroes 3 us the one most people love but I friggin loved the pixel art in Heroes 2!

Barbarian and Necromancer tracks were wrongly switched in the original release.

My best friend and my father loved this game. They are gone now. It brings back memories. Good ones.

Hm, I do realize something now, when I look at this picture. The castle (which I presume is the same castle as the one Roland escaped from when his brother Archibald murdered the seers and got into power) is covered with flags, and not seagulls. This is a truely remarkable discovery, I have always thought of the flags as seagulls moving around.

А у меня 3 были первыми, но 2 понравились больше) Атмосферой, сказочностью, и ассиметричным балансом) Музыка тут чуть больше по нраву, но и там она хорошая, даром что-ли один композитор. А в 6 части, да, там хватает разных отсылочек, хоть геймплей и изменили частично.

You know what hasn't been uploaded yet? The autoplay theme from the Heroes 2 CD. It's a short little jingle but it has every bit of the righteous "Heroes 2" style music.

the midi music is magic !!

IMHO the town tracks are mixed, i.e. the barbarian track is actually switched with necromancers one ;) while the wizard one is switched with knights. According at least with the MIDI files and the version of HOMM2 I have and... to be honest... I still play a lot :) Well... also... imagine that in this youtube vid the barbarians theme is the saddest one ;) ...while IMHO the necromances one should be :) Anyway - thanks for the posting!

+Lukasz Bubel the themes are not mixed. My proof is youtube itself. Search for the themes and listen to my video again. They are all correct.

+NeroPecore I was comparing to my copy of Heroes of Might and Magic 2 which I still play a lot (hence - I remember quite well as I listen to it (nearly) daily :) and both in terms of MIDI music and CD tracks. Someone below in the comments wrote that there are some copies of HOMM2 with switched tracks - maybe that is the case. No offence :)

You're missing the main menu music from the original. The first track here is from The Price of Loyalty expansion.

city of knights.... the fucking track is at the height of HOMM 3 or even better....that soprano or whatever it is makes me shake

The expansion pack 'The price of loyalty' had new soundtracks for all town themes, I liked them a lot but the original is fantastic.

I used to take battle 3 music and replace one of the battle songs from Heroes 3 that I didn't like.

Barbarian theme fits Necro and Necro fits Barbs.
