HoMM IV really has some of the most beautiful music. It is so evocative and wonderfully inspiring.

Excelent Picture of the Conflux, The faire, fire, water, earth and wind altars... the Magic tower and the Pilar on Fire... The nest of the Firebirds... Aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and music are perfect, beautyful recompilations

Heroes III necropolis cured from my fear of skeletons and bones. For some reason, seeing all those skeletons dismantle when arriving at 0 HP was so funny.

I can hear how this soundtrack inspired a lot of composers in the industry, because I find so many similar parts in other games and movies soundtracks.

HOMM3 might be the best installation but HOMM5 is close behind it for me. Maybe just the nostalgia factor. But goddamn, was it a fun game to play with your friends we used to load up an impossible difficulty game with a huge map and then just grind againts the monsters. Was fun doing 500k damage with one shot from your 2k crossbowmen :D

Multiplayer on huge map? I played many Hot Seats games on small maps. It was just taking waay too much time. Especially if one player was Necropolis and had to fight every single monster. The only game I played on Large map (with 3 other people) I managed to watch whole Monty Python while waiting for my turn...

Heroes 4 had THE BEST MUSIC! Most of the songs here are from H4.

I was gonna say...if Fortress wasn't on here - but you saved the best for last!

Somebody needs to get right from ubisoft .. and make new GOOD HoMM. 1 can only wait and wish

Timers somehow crushed. Campaign XI that is marked to start at 24:22 now starts at 21:20 (i did listen this all in the past and everything was ok) upd seems like one track is out, The Haven maybe?

I grew up playing HOMM2 and HOMM3 and the opera tracks from HOMM2 have to be my favorites of the series although I've heard the Price of Loyalty alternatives way more than the originals

The first song says everything about your love for HOMM music! I can listen to every single version of this one all day. Great picks! HoMM4 Soundtrack for the win tho~

Sorceress town theme brings me shivers every time. it is like the chant of the ultimate antagonist behind all the realms watching her evil plans unfold upon the unknowing people. ps. if i'm not all wrong, the singer, Karin Mushegain, was only 14 when she sung this masterpiece, which makes it even more incredible.

Well, no. Sorceress is a "good" town in Heroes II. Most of the sorceresses swear allegiance to the noble Prince Roland and his claim to the Crown and the Throne, especially after Roland's generals save Noraston. That said, there are certainly quite a few Heroes II standalone scenarios portraying evil sorceresses.

hey, yep I heard the same song, probably in heroes 3/4 for the first time, then in Lineage 2 interlude? and in the end the Witcher 3. I suppose there is one more soundtrack shared between heroes series and L2.. but cannot find it atm

Yeah this is not the version of "Wandering" that is actually used in Heroes IV. It is somewhat recognizable, but the arrangement in that game is very different. This tune is not used at all in any other Heroes game (I, II, III or V).

not crazy, but it is not rearranged witcher track. Both are inspired by a celtic/gaelic music stock track. Sadly i dont remember the name of this one. But fields of ard skellig and one other heroes 4 track are inspired by another gaelic song - Fear a bhata.

Yes, I bought a recent Heroes Orchestra album called Wandering and the titular song from there and this one are very different.

it could have more of the Heroes of M&M 2 music, like the grassland theme, battle 3 theme. Even Heroes 1 had good music, try Barbarian and Warlock theme for instance. At least there is the Sorceress theme of H2. Sorceress had more character than Preserve. Too many H3 fans were not raised with H2, they would know the huge difference. Its just better, if you have as highest Tier unit the Phoenix and not another kind of Dragons. Phoenix was added back later with Conflux, but thats not the same at all. Sorceress used to be the fastest castle with a strong own theme.

As far as I know his track is based on some traditional celtic composition. It was used in Witcher 3, Homm IV and Medieval Total War

Yes, a lot of the music in this compilation actually isn't original HoMM music. It comes from a sample library called AMG Complete Celt, that's been used in a lot of games including the Witcher.
