Hey Doug, the silver plate you took out of the champagne holder in the back seats is to be put below the chilled champagne bottle on the carpet floor. There is a magnet hidden under the carpet that ensures it’s perfectly placed and remains that way. Then the condensate of your bottles exterior has a silver plate to drip onto instead of making the rug soggy. THAT is attention to detail indeed.

although it removes a hefty weight, it would in fact e negligeable compared to the car's weight. you are removing 18 pounds but it still is only 0,04% of the total weight of the car haha

Well, it's the emblem that justifies the extra price; the status that this emblem gives to the owner justifies such a big difference in price between it and just a regular S-class, which is a lot of a car for the money, indeed. My 1991 Mazda 929 had a solar powered sunroof that was also used to power the AC maintain the temperature inside the car and trickled energy into the battery to avoid a flat battery so long as it is parked outside... 1991... We had a terrible hail storm in Sydney in 1997 and it damaged the 929 but specifically it cracked the Solar Power Sun Roof, it was insured so we didn't mind, the replacement sunroof imported from Japan cost $10k... $10k for a sunroof... Just insane.

I read a bunch of sections in our Mazda CX-5 owners manual when we got it. It's my family's newest car by almost 20 years, so needless to say it had quite a few "quirks and features" I wasn't familiar with, having only driven 90's cars before that.

The thing that killed the Phaeton was the VW badge. Costing as much as an A8 didn't do it any favors either. It was a super nice car, though!

Imagine if Honda changed the price ceiling of a Civic to 1/4 Million +PLUS $100,000 MORE? That shit would have hovercraft mode, literally be able to transform into a transformer, have a voice activated A.I. self drive AND have a camaflauge reflective paint WHICH TOTALLY EXISTS ALREADY as im typing. We can build rocket ships to go.to the moon 50 YEARS AGO... so imagine what they'd implement with no cost ceiling. :P
