    @@REB4444 2 yrs later and i still agree, put $150k into a $50k wrangler and you can make it a 6x6 with portal axles, and pretty much insulate all the interior (for a more luxurious drive) and cover it with the most plush and beautiful leather and carbon fiber, and get a custom body kit and make it look insane, and swap a hellcat engine into it, and it'll still cost less than the 4x4 Squared, but be a lot better

    1:00 adding a 6" lift nets exactly no additional ground clearance. It's onlywith larger tires or axle mods that ground clearance is gained.

  • @CarnutMM

    @CarnutMM

    6 жыл бұрын

    Do R/C! True with solid axles like a Jeep, tires give you the clearance under the diff. With independent suspension, you do get the height with a lift alone.

  • @Creating_Space

    @Creating_Space

    if 9" of ground clearance is with 31s, you'd only have 13.5" with 40s. Definitely not getting anywhere near 18" with a wrangler.

  • @elijahbrooks8589

    LSanti Sorry but lifting the suspension even with ifs ground clearance doesn't change. The lowest point of your frame remains relatively low, lower control arm is not moved until talked tires are added.

  • @CarnutMM

    @CarnutMM

    6 жыл бұрын

    Elijah Brooks I've installed multiple suspension lifts both on solid and independent axled vehicles. I agree the lower A-arm may not rise but the frame and most everything attached to the frame will go up. Only difference is the axle on a solid axled vehicle will not rise, but everything else will.

  • @fastdude2002

    you can buy a used one for like 40k and less if you go back to like 2003...people that buy these luxury 4x4's generally always buy new so the used market is usually flooded with unwanted vehicles...my dad bought a 10 year old land rover a few years back for 6k for a truck that went for like 60 new...fixing it is more expensive and they are just as plastic filled, cheaply built as anything out there

    If you lift a wrangler 6in you still have 9in of clearance because of solid axles. Larger tires are the only way to gain clearance.

    I’d fit bigger wheels because it doesn’t hav a lot of flex, so keep it stock until the tires almost rub, and imagine lifting that thing

    No dealership sells these for 225k... average asking price is 275k because they are very limited in production and all the 1%ers want one.
