Here's the Last of the Pontiac's ( G6 GT ) POV Review & Test Drive

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hey Everyone! In today's review I'll be strapping on my camera to test out the Pontiac G6 GT Coupe. Lets see how well this vehicle drives all these years later.

Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on KZread Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people watching my car reviews in America.

Wow your car sounds like a nice, low mileage car. Convertible is nice as well. I'm trying to get a chance to film a Pontiac G6 this week. its a sedan with the big V8 motor. As long as the dealership still has it I'll get filming it tomorrow hopefully. Please sub to the channel so you can see the film when its on here. thanks, Chad

Had an '07 G6, was a nice car. A lot of bang-for-the-buck is what the Pontiac brand was known for. Spend just a little more than what you would for a Chevy, and with Pontiac you got a more upscale car with options included.

I really have nothing but praise for these vehicles... I crashed my 2009.5 into a ditch at about 80k miles, bent up the frame and messed up the front suspension. Kinda fixed the frame, replaced my whole front suspension and whole cooling system. At 124k miles its still going strong and the only issue I have is the radio display sometimes goes black but the sound system is really good.

Bought one of these new back in 2008 as my first car and came back here for the nostalgia lol. Mine was a 2007 G6 GT Coupe. I put around 140,000 on it with several cross country trips. The car did 9 coast to coast trips total and never had a single issue! Unfortunately on its last trip I hit a deer on the interstate in Kansas and it absolutely obliterated my front end. Still made it all the way back to the east coast. I ended up opting to not have the front end repaired and I traded it in to a dealership for $500. I’d pay $1000 to get it back today 🙃

Honestly though, the Lude has more work done to it, I feel like this newcomer won't be able to keep up with Frankenstein.

I own a pontiac G6 GT today but from 2008, and i love it, i was very surprised when i first raved the engine and discovered how much does a supercharged V6 can make noise and show how much of a beast in can be. Respect to pontiac. for info, It has around 285 HP for sadly FWD and not RWD I also just love to see the face of people when i start the engine and push it a little to make it ''roar'' Also a huge lost they did, The car only has 4 gear instead of 5 or 6 wich makes the speed and acceleration fade away as soon that you hit around 100 km/h

It's a good overall car for the money. I have a 2008 GPX G6 Street Edition Coupe, Black on black leather interior loaded. 65K miles I would inspect the electrical all over the car. look for jerry rigged wiring. The electrical is really below average and I would really check the control arms with the suspension. Expect anything over 10 years needing 800+ in new arms and bearings. I picked up mine for 8200$. They're nice and some want premium prices for low mile units because they're rare now but, don't fall for that. I'm waiting a week for some suspension parts for mine now. There are issues with a dead brand. I love my car though. Most powerful front wheel drive I've ever driven. I added MKX Black and Silver 8.5 hubs rolling on Michelin 245/40's that 1 inch over 7.5 OEM makes all the difference. Tires come to the fenders now. Had it 8 months and I'm thinking about selling it. Now it's only at almost 67K miles. My price was a trade "amount" I'm asking 10K......I looked at the Cadillac ATS-V's...opps Lol I have to move on Lol

Sloane, that was a steal! I had a 2008 G6 GT Sedan in navy blue back in 2008. I loooved that car. Hitting those corners at a good speed was like a breeze! My biggest problem was making left turns and the gas hand would drop like a rock. I could have a half a tank and as soon as I turn, i would watch it drop to nearly a quarter full! It would recover in about 30 seconds but not quite back to half or it’s original reading. And yes, I agree that 50 extra horsepower would have made it very competitive and better.

I picked up an '06 GTP convertible last week, which I've found out is a bit of a unicorn since the GTP was only available as a convertible for half a model year. I'm surprised at how quick it is, even with all the extra weight I'm dragging around. I haven't noticed any torque steer in mine, which is something I'd probably pick up on rather quickly as I'm used to driving RWD cars. Anyway, I'm in love with this car and I hope to keep it running long after the demise of the brand itself.

You are very welcome. Mine has the 3.9l engine and is rated 25 mpg. Installed a drop-in K&N filter months ago and I'm averaging between 25-33 mpg depending how I shift. You could have the same results. Yours is a keeper!!!!

Yeah, I had a unicorn too, I had a '07 black 3.9 convertible GT, I don't know if you know but they actually removed the GTP name for 2007 and just called it the GT and took it for 3.9 you had to op for the sport package

These Pontiac G6 models are notorious for shitty speakers. They are built with cheap materials thus disintegrate over time. What happens is the voice coils get fucked up when the surround give out, causing many issues. This occurs in the front AND rear drivers. The plastic cones used are EXTREMELY thin. If you poke them, it ripples like soggy toilet paper. From personal experience...
