Here’s How to Share the Gospel in a Godless Culture

Despite the fact that America is the most "Christianized" nation the earth has ever seen, its slide into secularism is escalating with unprecedented velocity and momentum. Why? There has been a foundational shift in our culture from God's Word as authority, to man's word. If we are going to reach today's culture with the gospel, we must adopt a method that takes into account this foundational change. If we continue doing what we've always done, ignoring the foundational issues that have changed the culture, the church will become increasingly ineffective in "touching" this culture for Christ.

This is awesome! This is confirmation, started reading Genesis 3/4/23, again after asking God where do you want me to start, instead of reading verses in different books with my concordance? The answer was, "Start at the Beginning." I've read the bible through and through before, but something different is happening now! The Holy Spirit rules!!! Revival is coming at the hands of the Holy Spirit and the Word of GOD-Jesus!!!

Wise teaching. Here’s something though, this was posted 4years ago. And who would have dreamed 4 years ago that we would be in a place in our schools and culture like we are today, hosting drag queen hour for children, encouraging boys and girl to think they can and should change their sex, having the medical world complicit in this, encouraging pornography in school libraries. This is absolutely our society exchanging the truth for lies, people living under strong delusion. We need to spread the word of Christ, this is a helpful teaching. And Jesus, come . Jesus Christ is Lord.

Very important: Begin at the Beginning. I agree wholeheartedly. When I shop for bibles, I have also noticed that there are many editions of the bible which include ONLY the New Testament. I do not know why, but it seems that many publishers have completely ignored the "beginning" by only printing the New Testament.

When a new translation is coming out, has been my experience, "that" they come out with the New Testament first. Also, the Gospel of John starts out "In the beginning was the Word". Also, if you prefer a hard copy, not necessarily hard cover, a New Testament can quite often be pocket size. Not sure where I got this, but, when I was young, I had a paperback copy of "Good News For Modern Man". I had several different versions of the New Testament. I had a little New Testament as a baby. Naturally I didn't read it. In public school we were always given a Gideon Bible, published by a lay organization. I wasn't taught evolution, as far as I remember. I wasn't even aware prayer and Bible reading were taken out of the schools. We always had Bible in elementary school. In my junior year of high school, (I think), my homeroom we took turns reading from the Bible. How about that? It was strictly up to us individually. No one ever complained. My teacher was pregnant, so, the baby would be 55 this year. I bet that baby was raised in a Christian home. So, back to Bibles, I don't think they are putting out New Testament because they think the Old Testament isn't important. The Gideon New Testament always has the Psalms and Proverbs included. But, sometimes you can get a whole Gideon Bible at a public school. I know of an elementary school that had them available for students that wanted them. They were pretty, too, dark blue hard cover. I now have a New American Standard Version c. 1977. I also have a New King James Version I got at Christmas, an EVIDENCE BIBLE published by Living Waters ministry. Yes, this was a complete Bible. I am reading the New American Standard Version while listening to audio Berean Standard Version at the same time. The Open Bible format w/ Cyclopedic index and Concordance I got when it was new got lost somehow, but, my daughter found one in McKay's Used Books. It has a reading guide in the middle. You can read the Bible through in a year. It starts with Genesis and the Gospel of John. Then, after John, it goes to Matthew for the New Testament reading. And I will read Matthew 27 tomorrow. There are 28 chapters in Matthew. Then, it will go to Mark. I listen to Our Daily Bread as well. I am in the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament, having read Genesis and Exodus already. The EVIDENCE BIBLE has a reading guide, too. But, it doesn't have the reader in the New Testament until October 10.

Funny thing is, when I changed churches, it was some of their unbiblical practices, not doctrine, of that church as to why I left, and it was the traditional music of my current church that caused me to stay there. Where I live almost every church preaches the same doctrine, but its the music that separates them, or rather separates a small few from all the rest. Most churches have replaced the Spirit Filled Hymns of Wesley and Watts with the modern day repetitive choruses that anyone can write in 5 minutes without the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately the church I've been attending for 20 years now, is going the way of the rest of the world, where hymns are only randomly sung, or their words are changed or modern choruses are added to them. So where do I go now? Music is very important to me, and the Lord speaks to me often through, but I get nothing out of most modern "christian" music.

Not reverent at all. Music used to be my favorite part of the service.

Most churches of Christ, not latter day saints, still sing without instruments and use hymn books. The Lord's church is not perfect, but there is a biblical pattern that must be followed. Be careful with any church, so many are teaching that we are the focus and not Christ. Hosea was right when he spoke "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" 4:6. God bless you, HOLD FAST to the teachings!!!

I was brought up in church, Sunday school ect. When I became 16, I began drifting. When I was 25 the Lord saved me from a terrible situation. Then I became born again. And began attending church..then the Lord brought me to Aglow. After that, marvelous years of learning happened. Aglow embraces the whole bible. Starting with where Satan approached Eve and tricked her into eating the fruit from the tree that God had said they should not eat of. (Adam Eve.) But there is a verse in the bible that says, if you bring up a child in the way he should go, he will not depart from it. So today as an older generation I continue to seek God everyday. Reading His Word..Consider my years now as a bonus to speak, pray, learn. And continue to learn about the bible through Answers in Genesis..I don't have such a thing as The Good Old Days. My good days speak of now and into the future..and praying for my children's children. Children's. Thats funny about nursing a baby, a koala. 💙

Genesis has helps me tremendously grow in my faith as a new convert. As a former muslim, I admire the muslim's devotion to God. Thank goodness it is because of the fear of God for most of time. However, this could lead to violence to persecute, which happens to me. International community would be treating the ex muslim the same bcs it's risky to come out. The prophet is violent and passionate to convert people to Islam. Just a small tips for fellow Christian. Grow your faith in community. The death of church starts from us who follow like a sheep to the modern world's lifestyle. I see it as a slow dying of the identity of Christian, especially the woke. Trust me. It won't help church to stand firm. The spread of Islam in Europe couldn't be stopped bcs most of Christians don't care bout faith anymore, yet they are so panicked with the Islamic spread. Grow your faith first to against it. No need violence like the muslim does. Make the church alive. God bless this ministry.

He's ABSOLUTELY right... I came back to faith through recent archeological evidence to prove things in OT. A dinosaur book I received as a child was the start to questions I had as a child in Lutheran school. Questions, precisely about the millions of years concept, and all that entails were the start of me questioning the truth of the Bible, and thereby, the truth of the Scripture. Genesis is debatably my favorite book. The foundation needs to be there... and proving the foundation true is also a key point that needs to happen. I know because, it describes me.

When we use the Ten Commandments to prove that people are sinners, as great as the Law is, it causes problems later when we don't explain that our condemnation issues from being born with a sin nature which we inherited from Adam. Then when people are born again, they still believe that they are sinners enslaved to sin, not saints freed from sin and having a new nature with Christ's righteousness, due to his salvivic work through his sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection.

@@carlyd2300 I understand. My point is that, as in all matters, we must trust what the Bible teaches and not let our feelings or circumstances dictate our doctrine. I know all too well my own sins, yet I must rely on what the Bible teaches about me being a new creation in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ultimately, this issue and all others become a test of our individual faith, concerning final authority in our lives. Either the Bible is true and authoritative, which I believe with my whole being, or our feelings and circumstances are authoritative and trump the Holy Scriptures. The world, the flesh, and the enemy would discourage us by our emotions and circumstances, persuading us to belittle the Bible and it's authority and truth. We mustn't be so discouraged; we must trust God to be true and the world all liars. I hope this helps. Christ's grace upon grace to you and your family!

Ken Ham is quite right on this matter (and I'm an agnostic!). So many Christians have such a shallow knowledge of theology and apologetics that they can't even defend their faith to themselves let alone anyone else. "I feel the Holy Spirit in me and nothing else matters" just doesn't cut it. However studying Bible theology and apologetics, and especially New Testament historicity, is a double-edged sword because it means facing, explaining and rationalising a lot of difficult issues that can turn people away from believing that the Bible is the complete, perfect, and inerrant word of God. In some respects just taking the Bible on faith (John 20:29) is the simplest way to remain a believer.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! I LIKE THIS! Thank you! As an evangelist this is essential! If people don't know they are dead FROM THE TIME THEY WERE CONCEIVED, they won't understand why they must be born again. How many people, even pastors, can give a gospel message from Gen 1 and 2 and 3? I did a Bible Course once and had to write an assignment on The Beginning of the Church in Acts 2. Couldn't do it. Yes, the church began at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, but Peter preached to Jews, using information that was readily AVAILABLE TO ALL of them ON EARTH. Peter based his message on the foundation of the FAMILIAR. But Peter had been taught by Jesus, who used the Old Testament to teach his disciples Luke 24:27 and 44. Shouldn't we be asking the Holy Spirit to teach us everything Jesus knew about the Old Testament? Because THAT'S where Jesus found all his information. Deut 17:14--20. When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, in Matt 3, we read that three times he said, "It is written". Jesus IS the Word. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was WITH God, and the Word WAS God. HE was with God in the beginning...Joh 1:1 And the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. Joh 1:14. If you look for him, there is more information about Jesus in the Old Testament than there is in the New Testament.

Yes, exactly! The Scriptures quoted throughout the New Testament are all from the Old Testament, obviously the NT wasn't available to the early church - I find it interesting that Psalms is the most quoted book in the OT. Chuck Missler was an excellent Bible teacher and he would challenge his students to learn how to witness to the Jews (or anyone!) using only the Old Testament. I don't understand how certain prominent pastors can tell their congregations and anyone else who might be watching/listening, to "unhitch" from the OT, the *entire Bible* is the Word of God, imagine how much those who follow that advice will be missing 😢🙏

Very thought-provoking. I remember a couple of years ago I was walking across the recreation ground near where I live (in Somerset, in England), and I passed a group of schoolgirls who were talking about the differences between various gods. They were obviously referring to things they had been taught at school. It was so sad to hear this. It is so important , as this speaker says, to realise that younger people today don't have the same connotations as we older folk when they hear words like God, and the Lord Jesus, and the Bible. I am very grateful for this video. It is important not to take for granted that people understand the foundational truths of the gospel. I think Rom. 5 is a good reference point showing how sin and death entered the world through the disobedience of Adam, and the only Remedy is Christ who gives us a new identity, so that we are no longer in Adam, but become, in Christ, children of God.(Rom 5 v19).

If it's false, then may as well dismiss the rest of the Bible. To tell someone that God took on human flesh and dwelt among us in the Person of Christ is meaningless if they don't believe in God to begin with.

If there’s no natural cause then the cause must be “supernatural” - no matter how improbable. Personal attacks and insults do not address the issue. Of course, if you completely dismiss any possibility outside of a materialistic one, then that’s really all you’re left with. But if you want to confine yourself to that materialistic worldview then the consequence is that you are nothing more than a meaningless bag of chemicals - just molecules in motion - destined for nothingness. How do you even explain abstract thought with just atoms and molecules? Look beneath the surface below the 5 senses … get on your knees and try asking God in sincerity and humility for a sign that He really is real and then over the coming weeks be sensitive to the supernatural. At points in our lives He puts us in situations where He is the only source of hope and strength we have because He wants us to turn to Him. Other people will only dissappoint - even if they don’t mean to. And at some point they all die and there’s nobody left in this world who cares. It’s God who gives us meaning and significance. Otherwise we just live a blind life within the brain - just perpetuate a mud turtle. The great scientists I mentioned before would only be more convinced of a “Grand Designer” if they had the knowledge we have today. They had the spiritual discernment to see that it’s all His handiwork and it actually drove them harder to pursue knowledge. Try reading some of Pascal’s writings especially.

@@norbertjendruschj9121 But again in that respect you have no moral ground to stand on. In a purely materialistic worldview there are no moral absolutes - no absolute right or wrong. Right and wrong are just opinions of people. And if people are just accidental byproducts of evolution - just the result of natural selection acting on random genetic mutations - who cares what they think. In some places you visit today they will eat you for dinner. Remember people are just bags of chemicals so what do you care? Actually, from a Darwinian viewpoint murder is “good” because there are less people competing for limited natural resources. And it’s funny how people who bring this up very often have no problem with abortion - which has exterminated about 50 million humans since 1973. (And from a practical standpoint it will affect your social security check in the future.) What you’re really doing is appealing to the Biblical principle that murder is absolutely wrong. So you’re contradicting your own worldview. Again, if we’re just chemical containers with no souls who cares? Finally, you have to read the context in which these battles took place. God, as the giver of life, has every right to take life in order to accomplish His purposes. In these cases He was removing absolutely wicked people from the land to bring the nation of Israel into the promised land. These were people who would throw their babies into the fire in their worship of false gods. But my main point is that from an athiestic worldview you have no moral ground to stand on. Are you prepared to say that you are a man without a soul? - that you are just an assembly of atoms and molecules whose ancestor is a primordial mud puddle that got zapped by lightning? Perhaps you don’t believe in God because of not any purely rational reason but because it may mean a change in your pattern of living? In other words you just don’t want to because it means removing yourself from the throne of your life? You do have a soul - a soul made in the image of God - which is why you’re able to think and ponder and imagine and create and love. Ask God for illumination. He’s not done with you - He’s just getting started. Because your soul matters to Him.

The last thing I want is to bring everyone down. Ken is so correct in saying that abandoning the beginning of The Bible is a key factor in people abandoning church. Yes! But in my experience, every single person I personally know who has denounced belief in God has done so for the same reason: abuse by a vehement, outspoken believer in The Bible. This disturbs me so much, but it is true. Saying you believe and living like you believe need to be inseparable. Only then will people rebuild their trust in The Bible and those who say they believe it. I for one want to be a safe, trustworthy, Bible believing, honestly God following person. Please, Jesus, help us to be more like you!

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Matthew 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. _Jesus sown the good seed. Right after the enemy came and sown the tares among the good seed._ _Good seed = the four Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John._ _The tares were sown then after._ _Everyone knows Jesus came and sown the good seed._ _And everyone knows who came right after Jesus and sown much seed intermingled with what Jesus had sown._ _Many people (instead of following what Jesus had sown) insist upon following that which was sown after Jesus._ _But Jesus said to follow him._ John 10:27 *My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:* John 10:28 *And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.*

Ken Ham cites 1Cor.1:23 "is to the greeks, foolishness" then asserts the necessity of a Genesis-founded Gospel. BUT: 1 Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing among you [greeks], save Jesus Christ, and him Crucified." Nothing about Genesis there! I'd agree that once 'saved' by any means, a new 'Godless Cultured' believer must learn alot to perfect his re-pentance (re-thinking), including the Genesis , the Angelic Conflict (JOB)... all the way to the End (Apocalypse). But the beginning is personal re-birth by faith in Christ, and by hope in His Resurrection. Hebrews 1:1 Faith is the Reality of Things-Hoped-for; the Convincing-Evidence of things Not-yet-Seen. With that baptism of Holy Spirit, such a believer is enabled to learn the Alpha thru Omega. For example, having learned from Pauline doctrine that I am not just Body&Psyche, but as a human creation, Spirit-- then I can appreciate Genesis, where Man is created differently than animals, augmented: 'from the dust' (material) plus 'inspired' with 'the Breath of Life' (spiritual). I can testify that as an avowed atheist 15-yearold, I did not need to consider Genesis-vs-Evolution in order to understand my own defects in the prospect of certain mortality. I accepted a challenge to simply read the gospel of Matthew with an open mind/heart. That was enough, immediately.

Ok. One problem. I have just recently found the last puzzle piece to the puzzle that was the BIBLE to me. I'm a boomer. I went to a Catholic HS where both evolution and creation were taught at the same time. So, for a long time, I'd been racking my brain as to WHEN God decided to "instill" logic and reason into this evolutionarily evolved man, yet nothing made any sense. I was a JW for a few years, but their teachings didn't stick either. None of it made any sense, even though I wanted to understand. I've always shied away from actually reading the Bible in the past for who knows what reason, as I am an avid reader, although I am currently rectifying that situation. My problem is this. With the churches being so corrupt today, where does a fresh believer go anymore to make connections with others who are more versed in the Bible and can help lead me in the proper course of action? I stick to Answer in Genesis because they've told me the unvarnished truth of the matter and given undeniable proof, both biblically and through science. I must say, I am still absolutely reeling with all of this and my anger at the evolutionists for completely confusing so many people is off the charts. Are THEY the goats? I have questions, but too few people to help me out with some of the answers. Amazing. We now have the internet and social media, yet we now have even fewer people to talk to.

To quote Billy Graham, who actually was using his wife’s statement, “If God does not punish America, then He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.” I cringe when I hear people say, “God bless America.” God does not bless sin. America has turned its back to God. Jeremiah 7- 24 “but they did not listen to me, nor did they pay attention. They walked in the stubbornness of their evil hearts and turned their backs , not their faces , to me.” God have mercy on us.

I have been on a quest to find a church that preaches the truth but sadly they are given to entertainment and adding to the # in the congregation. I do deep dives in God's word and try to spread the gospel. The biggest benefit to a congregation for me is true fellowship, prayer partners not church parties. I have sat in churches while they put entertainment above preaching and no not just praise and worship team. I find multi pastors lecturing on how wives are responsible for their husbands sexual immorality because they don't do their makeup, hair or clothing correctly. I had the wife of a pastor tell me I was a fanatic because I talked about how wonderful a certain scripture is and that was a 30 second conversation, she referred me to someone else not in our church. Generally speaking, I suspect most people are generally aware of the Gospel (Good News). It also doesn't help having many Christians who give Christianity a bad name and cause it to look cultish. When it comes to bearing fruit, the Christians who do bear good fruit certainly influence non-Christians who admire them for their wise living. The real reasons Christianity would be in decline is it not delivering as promised and it being intellectually indefensible, even if it turned out Christianity is generally true. If you see the effects of God and Jesus working in your life, it doesn't really matter how intellectually indefensible the religion currently is because as far as you are concerned, it is working. Like any other philosophy or religion, it takes a certain amount of belief and due diligence to see an actual benefit and we see this in that not all Christians benefit equally. It can become like the child questioning why their friends got more and better presents from Santa. Why does it seem that some Christians are far more blessed than others? It sort of hints that it is more than just belief but rather dependent on the skill set of the individual to how far God's blessings go. It is not uncommon that when people hit bottom, they will give Christianity a shot. It is also not uncommon to hear how their lives turned towards the better after receiving Jesus. Regardless of whether Christianity is true or not, someone's life getting better just by accepting it as true, is in my view a good thing and certainly a wise thing. Of course just accepting Christianity as a good thing is not enough or nearly as powerful as actually being convinced that it is true, that is where the real magic of transformation occurs. There have been Christians who were once convinced that Christianity was true, but like that child who asks too many questions about the existence of Santa, They too begin to ask too many questions and begin to see for themselves that a lot of things simply don't add up and one day realize they no longer believe. Again, this does not prove Christianity is false, only that we currently don't have enough to fully understand that it is true and certainly enough to know it is fully a product of humans sharing their experiences of God and Jesus through their perspectives, which there is nothing wrong with that, nor does it discredit the experiences that they and others have had, it is just not as powerful as claiming the bible is the Word of God literally. I guess my point is that if there truly was an intellectual way to arrive at Christianity being the way, more people would certainly become and stay Christian. Even if Christianity worked equally for all Christians, you wouldn't even need intellectual support because it works. People flock to things that actually work, even if there is no rationality behind why it works.

Fill them with Your love beyond comprehension, Your peace beyond comprehension and Your Joy beyond comprehension! Scripture says to make DISCIPLES and that requires actual TEACHING and not just a Sunday morning pep talk. It also means speaking the truth boldly without fear of "losing members". Jesus and the Apostles demonstrated this very clearly. The biblical definition of the church is the universal body of believers united by the Spirit under one head, Jesus Christ. The man-made organizational structure which is commonly referred to as "church" is not the true church but rather a prison that believers have become entrapped in and rendered ineffective. Nature itself shows us that the body grows through the replication and division of cells; not by single cells expanding to their limit and dying without replicating or dividing. It's time for the true church to break out of that prison. Go out and start a fellowship in your home. Make it informal and without the usual pageantry. In other words, keep it REAL. Make disciples and once they are ready send them out to start their own group and make disciples of their own. That is the model that scripture gives us.

I do the opposite of the evangelical. I was in it. I didn't participate as much as observe as it bothered me. Convincing is not a good method. People need to convince themselves. My angle even for myself is I don't have to care that people know God. I just don't care. I really don't. What that means is I have released myself from feeling obligated to convince anyone. However, if I have the opportunity to provide information I will, because information is what people need to make an informed decisions because in the end, everyone needs to save themselves. We are commanded to take the convert and make, build, "Rub into Thouroughly " the Christ in us, into them! ( John 3:22 ). Obedience to this command answers the prayer to the Lord of the harvest to raise up workers for the fields ripe unto harvest. ( Matthew 9:37-38). Jesus Christ said: " If you love Me, you will obey My commandments. " John 14:15..... Well....Do We?

There are many reasons for Gods creation of man, but I believe one reason is so that those who make it into heaven after a life of temptaion, tragedy, failures, etc...., and then final victory into heaven, brings into it in a state of which the angels did not have. For if we've gone through all this and still make it, what would cause us to fall as the angels did? Now if you believe in the false doctrines of TULIP and OSAS, then what I've said seems rediculuos to you, but if you believe in freewill, the you can see this must be true. As for the great falling away, it is the TULIP/OSAS doctrines that have done this to our world. These doctrines are the great delusion, and almost church goer believe they are truth. Why would anyone strive to live Holy as God commands if it isn't needed or even possible to be so? If I can serve the devil and still go to heaven because I "prayed a prayer one time", why should I not live for the flesh? And what do I have to have to offer anyone who is not a believer and who is also sold under sin? Why would they want what I have if I'm living just like them and cannot change?

I believe it's important to read the whole Bible before seeking for a Biblical Teacher (Church)... you cannot recognize anything by the fruits unless you have Bible knowledge first! And when you chose a Church, make sure it has The Bible in the pews!

Your analysis is mostly correct except when you use Billy Graham as an example. He personally publicly stated that all will be saved without exception [Roman Catholicism Ecumenism] in an interview Which negates the Christian Biblical Gospel message he preached. The contradiction has great ramifications and stambing block. Your message will be wholly correct before BG's public confession."

You are correct about BG. I saw that program live when Billy Graham denied the gospel on Robert Schuller's program. I was horrified because my elderly father, who became truly "born again" in his late 70's was watching the program when I walked into the room. Billy changed over time. He started well but was a full-blown "Ecumenicalist" in his last years.

Today, it's not only music but also an attitude of greed. More and more, pastors beat their parishioners over the heads about tithing. Money. Their primary emphasis seems to be on money. Many pastors claim God will do horrible things to people if they fail to pay their 10% (before taxes) protection mon...oops! I mean "tithe", every week without fail. Sunday morning services have become Sunday morning stick-ups. This is a large reason why so many churches are hemorrhaging members.

So find a place to worship that is not the kind you describe. The references should be to an entirely other aim- supporting the church if it means the church is supporting the fatherless, widows, poor & disabled- those in need… & teach the gospel as written, of God & resources; not building a bigger building & buying an airplane, storing up luxury for themselves.

I truly believe that the public school system, both elementary all the way through college, is the problem. They teach the children that God is not real, we came through evolution, and Jesus' death , burial, and resurrection does not save us. Teach your children at home from a Christian curriculum. Teach them the truth from the Word of God every day. Show them the truth through your daily life which you portray God's truth through your actions.

At 55:22, there is a fundamental problem with the terms "Christian Greeks", "Secular Greeks" and "Jew" or "Jewish type". Rabbinical Judaism is just as man-made as Roman Catholicism or Shintoism or Mormonism. They are all man-made religions with man-made doctrines and traditions started primarily by one person who claimed he or she heard god speak. Although Roman Catholicism and Rabbinical Judaism are based on the truly, truly divine word of God, YHVH, they have added to and taken away from the Word of God (Dt 4:2, 12:32). The minute you add to or take away from God's perfect instructions (James 1:25, Ps 19:7, Ps 119:142, etc), you have taken what is "from above", "not of this world", "divine", "The Truth" and dragged it down to the earth by our sinful pride and made it "of the world", "from below", "worldly (John 3:31, 8:23, 15:19, 17:14-19, 1John 4:5-6, etc). So to walk as Jesus walked is to walk in God's Law because God's Law is truly, truly, for sure for sure divine. It is NOT of this world. It is, therefore, supernatural. Think about it. Long, long ago in a land far far away, a mixed multitude of three million people stood in front of a certain mountain and God, YHVH, came down enveloped in fire and thick black smoke and God spoke to three million people simultaneously and audibly saying, "I am YHVH your God... you shall have no other gods in my face.... Moses come up the mountain and I will give you the rest of the Law!" Never, before or since, has there ever been any written account of anything remotely similar to this, event to this very day. AND there is an unbroken chain of witnesses with names, birthdates and deathdates from this very day going all the way back to Moses who claim, "our ancestors heard God speak". The Torah even makes note of the supernatural nature of the Mt Sinai event so that you can KNOW that there is ONLY ONE GOD, YHVH, AND THERE IS NO OTHER (Dt 4:5-14, and 32-40)!! Without the Torah of YHVH, there is no definition of sin (1John 3:4). Without the Torah of YHVH, there is no definition of love (1John 4:7-5:5, John 14:21-24). Without the Torah of YHVH, there is no gospel (Hebrews 3:5-4:13)!!! Without Jesus, there is NO FORGIVENESS FOR REPENTANCE OF SINS. So the goal is not to convert "Christian Greeks" into "Christian Jewish type" but into followers of Jesus aka Yeshua who walk as He, the perfect example of obedience to the Father, walked in love for Him and the Father and in love for one another to honor Him and give Him the glory, and in reverent fear of Him: Revelation 14:6-7 "6Then I saw another angel flying overhead, with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth-to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. 7And he said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the One who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the springs of waters.” If you do not believe YHVH created the heavens and the earth and you do not believes the Mt. Sinai event actually happened, then there is no hope for you. Therefore, choose life in Messiah Jesus!

I don't believe that Christians need to bend over backwards to make the gospel acceptable. Yes, we need to preach it, but absolutely as it is. Jesus spoke in parables. Never forget that it's the Holy Spirit who works in the heart of the sinner and not us trying to persuade. That's the problem when one claims to be believe both predestination and Armenism. Jacobus Armenus were debated over and over and proofed to be wrong. No need for us to start another debate.

Ken, you're making a great argument for the Bible, using Billy Graham as an example of a Bible man is confusing. How is it possible he ended up believing in "the wideness of God's acceptance of people who confessed other gods that he was anything else, but a false teacher? There's just no way I can see Billy Graham as a Christian.
