I was very interested to hear that Amber changes shades. I found a toad on my porch that was nearly all white. It was so unusual I brought it in and took a picture. As I was photoing him, he started to turn dark green. I never knew they could do that.

Most of us have never seen frogs up close since they're nocturnal mostly active at night, but thanks to you frog pet owners we can see that they're soo impossibly cute, curious, and each has their own personality. But like all living creatures their main interest is food

Most frog and toad species are either nocturnal or crepuscular (which technically means most active around dusk - midnight and/or early morning btw, a lot of ppl confuse it with Cathemeral) so the best time to take videos of frogs would be mornings or evenings, if you want to see them awake and active. Cathemeral means their sleep pattern isn't defined by daylight and they sleep at intervals during both daytime and nighttime btw. An example of a cathemeral animal that almost everyone has probably seen before is housecats.

My Favs: Glass Frog, Morelets leaf frog, common rain frog, and whites tree frog. Beyond the species i think are cute, i love Amber. Shes very affectionate and attentive.
