Her modern Tiny Home parked in a Tiny House Village

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Take a tour of Patty's 400 sq foot tiny home, parked at Acony Bell Tiny House Village. This little oasis is her home away from home for a nice retreat near the mountains. When she's not using it, she rents it out for extra income.

Nice. I did hear that something to sit the mattress on is necessary for ventilation so that mold does not form. Did anyone else hear this?

Cute e tiny home. Word of advice though, you need at least 1/2inch clearance off the floor to have airflow around the mattress.😎

We have a washer/dryer combo too. In case this is of interest to you or anyone else, I have tips for drying. Do small loads. This reduces wrinkles and the washing (yes, washing) time significantly. If the timer says “5 hours” your load is too full. It’s just my husband and me, and I get all our laundry done in one day, once a week - typically 4 small loads. I prefer to use the full wash/dry cycle setting. Take the laundry out 20 minutes after it goes to cool down (CD). When I do this, I open the door and get blasted with moisture, and the clothes feel quite damp. I grab them out and walk to my bed to lay them out. Anything that I want wrinkle-free, I smooth out piece by piece in a pile on the bed. By the time I’m done smoothing each piece, it is completely dry. This might vary for you if you live in a humid area or have humid seasons and don’t use air conditioning. Anything where I don’t care about wrinkles, I just leave it in a loose jumble and it feels dry almost instantly. The exception to this is heavier fabrics- sometimes undershirts and washcloths and certainly towels. In that case, they need a little drying time so I could hang them up to dry. I don’t, though; I just spread them out all over the master bed and they’re dry in an hour or two. So while towels and sometimes undershirts are more hassle, this “take out 20 minutes into cool down” method is so effective for me for everything else, I am very happy with our machine. HTH you or someone else. I realize machines might vary, but it might be worth a try. Cheers.

I love the actual stairs going up to the second story. I don't love the idea of not being able to stand up. I'd need to either build on site or have a slidable second story for enough height. Kudos for a real flush toilet.

Same! I love tiny homes & bus/van conversions specifically. I really want to do a van build out or maybe even box truck or bus so I can travel the US for a year or so. One of my main concerns tho is I'm 6'5 and would have to figure something out to have enough space to stand and sleep comfortably

What people call home can be vastly different whether rented or owned. There is a large number of singles, couples and families living and traveling full time in RVs. It has opened our eyes along with the tiny home movement and cause us to evaluate how much of our home and belongings we really use on a regular basis. I believe ‘housing’ will continue to vary wildly across the country for some time.

Soon as tiny houses get swallowed up by the short term rental industry, they will no longer provide a less expensive alternative to traditional homes. It won’t be pretty.

There’s an extremely grand problem with the economy in this country. When a person who works full time can’t afford to sustain a household on their income, there’s a big issue. Regardless, bare minimum, someone who holds down a full time position should be able to afford to make ends meet. So many people have very little when a handful have too much . The ratio that gap is getting bigger and bigger. These tiny homes aren’t even options for the mass. The balance is so incredibly off it’s causing the problems and housing is just one of the many. The American dream is no longer. 😢very disappointing.

$600 per month lot rents is too high. I would buy land, put in water tank and septic, add solar. Pay nobody ongoing except the County tax man. The only problem with this tiny house is that it isn't convenient to have sex. The ceiling is too low upstairs. Downstairs has a bunch of windows that need to have the shades pulled down. This would be great for the asexual couple.

Not impressed with this home, noticed holes and dents in the walls. They are especially noticeable in the loft. This is the first tiny home I have seen that I did not care for. Looks really cheap!

Wow 600 rent + electric+ insurance for home and car + monthly home payment and groceries or whatever. I'm not seeing how this is less expensive than renting. Your talking like what....a monthly payment of 1600 or more. I couldn't afford that. No way 😔

Your channel is more and more becoming a platform for leisure and luxury housing. So not about ‘tiny houses’ or ‘homes’ as an alternative or different way of tiny living: mainly off-grid, sustainable, minimal footprint, etc. As I’m not willing to support this trend I’m out of here; unsubscribed.
