@@patinho5589 As the person above said - fan work has been around as long as there's been fans of stuff and the internet to share it. It has never harmed other IPs, instead it's sustained a good few. It was a blatant money grub since they wanted to eliminate fan competition for their animation streaming service which has shown it does not put out the same quality. What I can't fathom is them thinking that the money they'd get from an already ultra saturated streaming market with their niche and rather poor product was worth killing one of the best FREE marketing tools that I've ever seen. GW has a track record of being over litigious and this was a step too far

Man... Netflix is sooo dumb for letting him go.

This clip should've made it clear how the Witcher show was going to go: most of the actors, and come to find out later most of the production staff, not only knew nothing about the universe or the community in which the universe was grounded, they had zero interest in finding out. All they knew was that it was work... that in the fullness of time they could vomit woke shit all over in a pathetic attempt to make it more interesting to THEM, to the detriment of the audience and the community. Cavill was basically one of the few that honestly and truly cared about the subject material, and it really shows how vapid and two dimensional the rest of the staff were. I only hope that GW doesn't do him as dirty with whatever 40K stuff he gets involved in.

i remember many years ago when i played dark crusade dlc from DOW1, and played the necrons faction holy cow damn they were op just dominating every land and other factions. would be super awesome if someone were to make a remake of it with updated gameplay,graphics,new engine,etc. warhammer is such rich game wtih tons of lore.

But like, OFC Cavill runs a Custodes army.

Would be so funny if Henry replied "oh necrons cool, so what made you pick filthy xenos?" 😆

No way could he have just discovered Necrons. I rotate them all nice in a while, nice to have a little bit of everything and then a couple of primaries to go back too.

In 3 seconds they had a full conversation and gained a new friend to play with

They actually asked this to the man who missed the call telling him he got the role as Superman because he was playing World of Warcraft

Proof right here about the atmosphere on the witcher set being anti geek and hating the source material. The second Henry starts even talking about universes or franchises the girls immediately sigh and start to complain.

@stillwatersrundeep it is their literally entire job to concern themselves with this geeky fantasy lore novel and recreate it. Onto of that they are at a press interview with their fellow cast members, solely set up to talk about their live action depiction of this highly geeky fantasy novel they have been charged with living out on camera. They are also being interviewed by a company solely created to talk about and draw attention to "geeky" topics and stories. If any of that sounds exhausting or pathetic to them, perhaps they would have been better off getting a job in something else.

Writers who are not even fans of the shit they are writing for. No wonder MCU, the comics and star wars are absolute dog shit. People who are ANTI the source context are now in charge of writing the stories. So fucking dumb. Also, why are women helming most of this stuff anyway, women are not interested nor invested in most of this and the audiences is 90% male...just more women invading spaces they're completely ignorant of.

@@rossilavery In this video, the girls are sighing at Henry Cavill talking about Warhammer 40K, not the Witcher. You're completely off-topic. And anyway about the Witcher, they're actors, not writers. They are only required to concern themselves with their own character's lines and characterizations and can choose not to spend time learning about everything else.

3 reasons I envy men: 1. The less they groom the better they look. 2. They age like fine wine and dont easily gain weight. 3. They can instantly make friends over something as simple as a hobby.
