Very beautifully played by both artists.
Such underrated a piece of music!
What a beautiful composition. Never knew about him until now. Keep up the good work.

Yes, ofc he's one of few violin composers took violin in a very musical way after Paganini arrived at the scene, as after Paganini many took violin to a virtuous zone such as ysaye (he's a student of him), sarasate, kriesler, wieniewski, ernst but he maintained a very musical approach on violin

thanks, we're hearing this tonight in SD CA with faculty from SDSU along with a bunch of other little heard rep. somehow missed this in my collection of viola rep. There's an altnerate version with Zimmerman. TOO MANY MISPLACED COMMERCIALS!!!!????
Why do people hate violas so much???
It’s a shame that this isn’t included in the Suzuki books for the viola method. This would be very fitting for Book 8.

Lee Soo-Min plays so well. Why doesn't she play any other songs?

Mendelssohn was not Wagner's nightmare. Where does such an assertion even come from?

long story short, wagner doesn't fear mendelssohn, but he do feared that mendelssohn shouldn't be the face of german music, as he was a Jew (no offence, I got from what I read, any discrepancy is welcomed)

@harryhagan5937 -- It "even comes" from just LISTENING to the music: Take the "Fingal's Cave - Hebrides" Overture. The chief motif, when INVERTED (as Rakhmaninov did to Paganini in the 18th Variation) yields Walkürenritt. Rouse yourself! Hear! Exert yourself! Work the case! Cheers from Acapulco!
