You kinda have to think about it like reading a play out loud for the first time. You know what the words on the page are, but you don't necessarily know how to make them sound right, you don't know their exact meaning and sense yet. Being good at sight-reading is a skill you can work on.

I love Max Reger's solo violin pieces and that some of them were featured here. Hopefully they can become more popular. I like his opus 42 a lot but it's not too available on KZread (it is on Spotify though).

Did he kind of 'recompose' Bachs pieces for solo violin? Because the chaconne looks equally hard lol. Probably deserves more recognition.

@@goldenesei8127 it may be. In his Bach variations for piano he basically took a motif from Bach and made insane things with it. Most of his music I think is a weird mix between early classical and late romantic. I myself hadn't even heard of him until one day I was scanning through Mark Andre Hamelin discography on itunes to find something to listen, and encountered his Reger recording. Was blown away by epicness)

Really missed and love this kind of video❤️ thank you twoset for your great content and showing us your wonderful violin playing. And if you screw up, which is totally normal while sightreading, you just encourage other people to perform and mess up too. Thank you!

I am so proud of you guys for this. You may have made some mistakes but for your very first time ever seeing these pieces you both managed to do *so* well. You're genuinely so skilled not only at playing your instruments but at translating what you see on the page into music, it's inspiring. I hope you feel like you did better than you expected because you certainly deserve to.

If you're playing the pieces at a rough performance tempo anyways, you could time how long you play without messing up instead of using a point system, since right now it becomes impossible to score a point at the higher difficulties

First twoset video I've watched in a LONG time. Really enjoyed it! You guys should make a video of some classical music pieces recommendation (that are not so popular and similar to some of the pieces played in this video), I think that would be a really cool video to watch.
