Thanks for sharing this. Any game that is playable on the steam deck is a win for me. I am a graphics snob, however if it’s a game I really want to play and it works in the deck then I’m happy.

You need to optimize the settings more. I have Helldivers 2 on my steam deck OLED optimized to where it looks really good, and it hoverd around the 45 frame mark.

The oled, Really does have better performance! I’m not sure the lcd could pull that off. I usually start from the bottom with all settings and slowly add to them. I know they patched the game maybe there was some performance gains.

There was a patch that dropped make sure your updated and I know this will sound dumb but restart your deck. The amount of times that fix’s issues is incredible

If you consider yourself a "frame rate snob" and say you won't play gems like bloodborne cause of it you need to just ky, and do it fast

Hahaha love it! Bloodborne is just pure good! Where’s our pc release!!!! I’m definitely not a snob I’m currently playing ff7 rebirth at 30 and loving it 😊 there was an update for divers with a new graphics option for asynchronous I turned that on seems to help a wee bit to stay near 30

Sub 30 fps isn't good, ever, especially for a game like this. Lol.

I’m going to push back alittle on that, while sub 30 isn’t ideal it’s not uncommon. I come from the ps1,2,3 generations where games often dropped below 30 I guess I have a higher tolerance. That’s what this video is for to give people that choice. To say especially a game like this I don’t agree a competitive shooter or something along those lines with pvp 100% but for a solely cooperative game with friends I think is totally fine as long as you’re aware of the limitations.

@kingsalami217 Different consoles, different engines, different displays. With modern displays you need to hit a sweet spot and stay there to stay in an acceptable refresh window. The Deck requires that you lower the res, max low all graphical settings, and set a 30 fps lock to get a smooth and good playing experience. Which is fine, I am playing this game right now on the deck and it's great but I am locked at 30, I don't have bad settings choices for the hardware being used. I work within the limit and the expiernce is great because of that.

@theexile4694 I just fine the upscale that the game supports isn’t great I’m trying it again right now. Having the game set below the decks native resolution seems like it only claws back tiny amount of performance. Let’s be real we are talking about steam deck I never expect new releases that aim for current generation consoles to be perfect.

Its crazy how this game looks like meh and performs equally as so. They must have been so into this engine's ass, and so far along in development that they couldnt turn back.
