@@sherrycram4096 Thick sculpting ice is kept at freezing temperatures for very long ammounts of time. It isnt as fragile as you think. Watch an ice sculptor sculpt something. They use power-tools.

No, you did it wrong. You're supposed to record an album using that kit, then smash it. The album would be known for it's icy cold drum sound, and send producers and engineers on a wild goose chase of recreating that sound that was just so damn cold.

The beginning is so good that even though I knew everything was ice, the first cymbal hit still caught me off guard. Comedy gold, and genuine musical talent. Well played.

What are you talking about? He literally never uses his left foot. Not once. Chances are because A) He knew the ice would break the second he touched it or B) they were fake the whole time, and the highhat didnt ever function.
The drums sounded fantastic ... the cymbals sounded alittle fragile

@@sherrycram4096 Thick sculpting ice is kept at freezing temperatures for very long ammounts of time. It isnt as fragile as you think. Watch an ice sculptor sculpt something. They use power-tools.

I saw them in the early 2000s. It was their first tour in America in a long time. Small club in DC, awesome band that sounds great live.
Even without the cymbals noise, the beat sounds so filling. Amazing tom work.

My thoughts on this changed 3 times throughout this.. First I thought it was kinda neat, then felt bad cuz I thought awe.. he couldn't break the ice playing it... so he hits it with a sledgehammer and I think oh, that's some thick ice, that was awesome. This was a journey fellas.
Fun thing is... I remember watching this 10 years ago and i still remembered the rythm

No, you did it wrong. You're supposed to record an album using that kit, then smash it. The album would be known for it's icy cold drum sound, and send producers and engineers on a wild goose chase of recreating that sound that was just so damn cold.

Just shows how 98% of the sound of the drums come from the skins and barely any from the shells... So when you are buying a mega expensive set of "Exotic" wood drums you are just paying extra money for the pretty wood...
