In more general terms, it's a series 1 Scania. The last number in the old designation system before P, R, G, etc was the series number.

Leofred , They are much fun, used to drive one TGB40 in the army, if you maintained speed you could cross any terrain, and also up to 8 feet water ! 😋

It's a mount for a plow wing. A wing is mainly used to cut snow banks when they get too tall for the plow truck to get the snow over them.

The snow probably made it impossible to tell where the road was. I have the same trouble finding my sidewalk after a blizzard.

Nice theory, but that's not it... he was going along the road, clearing it you can see that he was in the middle of the road too.

Except for a) 6 wd, b) diesel engine with 300 hp (yes Gaz got that 20 years later). Nope it is not a GAZ 66 copy... its far from a GAZ 66.

No it is not a copy, It is designed by Scania to meet Swedish Army requirements in the 70s
