Great rescue from terri and a great video from ADVideofilm. Better safe than sorry and call someone early to get you out, than burying the machine in attempting it by yourself. Well done again. Keep them coming.

Yes, i have seen other videos where even larger machines had this claw, it seems very handy. You don't see many if any thumbs on machines in Europe.

It's been a few years since I've seen it done but a stuck like this might have been solved by chaining logs across to both tracks and sucking them under one a time. What do you think?

Chris Campbell I was looking at the same thing. All the stress was basically on the fastener of that outer main cylinder top end. Surprised it didn't tear off. Oh well, they got it out, which is a good job. Try it yourself. Rescue a big machine out of a swamp in the middle of nowhere, at night. It ain't the sweetest peach of a job.

I do find these video fascinating, but I'm wondering what you guys are doing out in the middle of nowhere with these machines to get them stuck? I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason, and that it's not for fun, like 4WD trucks in the mud. Also, it seemed odd to me to attach the cable to the hydraulics piece on the arm, rather than around the arm itself. Is there any risk of damaging the hydraulics? Anyway, you got it out! How did you anchor the little crawler?
