On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, F-4 Phantom, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Sorry if i ask, but what are the more specific designations following a phantom's standard designation? For example F-4E-45MC instead of just F-4E, or R-F4C-39MC. What do the numbers represent? Does MC stand for Marine Corps?

I learned from GSW. I had all of the flight dynamics to begin with, but the challenge was learning the systems for various aircraft. Pick a bird, stick with it and master it. GSW shows that after 3 days, with basic knowledge-advanced in his case, you can adapt and apply quickly the advantages, and weaknesses of every aircraft. The F-4E is the pinnacle of analog front line fighter/bombers. The F-4 was the first true multi role aircraft that we had. In the USMC, my experience was with the F-4B/N, F-4S and RF-4B. It remained a formidable threat well into the 21st century and thats utterly remarkable. This module is proof that with basic skills across the board, you can hop from cockpit to cockpit and lay waste on your opponent, be it air to air or air to ground. The Phantom truly did it all and was remarkable. Phantoms Phorever. VMFA-235, 232, 531 and VMFP-3 El Toro 1978-1988. Semper Fi.

Semper Fi sir!! I’m just a “young” ground pounder (01-05 1st Marines), but even before I joined I loved the F-4. I love watching them on the history channel when they show the computer animated fights from different eras? It’s on KZread even now. It’s called Dogfights I think. I just love the Vietnam era battles they show. That plane is such a beast. Also I love the F-4U Corsairs from WW2 more then any other aircraft. So I like the history behind it. 🙂

When I went to Hahn AFB in WEST Germany, in 79, as a Missile Maintenance troop, we had F4s. I was assigned to the bomb dump, but pulled guard duty as an SP, during one of many NATO exercises we were always doing, besides our own. I was forgotten out there in a blizzard and they didn't come for me, till a day later. I was glad I brought my pockets full of food. Heres the good part, I was at the end of the runway where they took off, 2 at a time, full AB of course. OVER AND OVER. It was a Blade Runner moment, lost in time, like tears in the rain. I have seen C Beams glitter off the Tannhauser gate, Twin F4s taking off full AB, shaking the ground like an earthquake, Ripping the air apart to the subatomic level....

My assumption is that it won't end well against an experienced MIG pilot unless the F4 gets his kill fast. Kinda like when he used the 109 vs the P51 and went into a prolonged fight. Some planes are meant to Boom n Zoom, others have endurance Can't wait til this plane is live. Gonna hop on Enigmas and try to pick on the horde of pilots trying out their new plane. I didnt expect the missiles to be so deadly though... thats the thing I'm most worried about

My fav from that era. I still have an 1:72 Italeri model of an RF-4E Phantom II, since I was 10. Hours of hand painting...maybe that was my first bon3r....🤣🤣

I remember years ago I asked for this module. It was me, the first. You are welcome. That out of the way, great video and it is now time to have fun. Enjoy everyone and again you are welcome.

Friendly aircraft challenge like F-4 vs. A-4, F-5, F-104 would be interesting. Also there is the MiG-19, which was used (with the least success) in Vietnam.

Imagine being an Air Force F-4 backseater over Vietnam, and your pilot is badly wounded by flak, but the plane is fine, and you have to fly it home and land it from the back seat...
