In 2016, Dion Leonard found himself a new best friend when a stray desert dog joined him for nearly 80 miles of a gruelling ultra marathon across the treacherous Gobi Desert. When the marathon was over, Dion promised to bring his new pal home to Edinburgh, but the adventure wasn't over just yet.
