Delightful! Both the recipe and Dorie herself! I immediately went to my kitchen and started making them. At midnight, I'm almost done griddling them. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning. Thank you for such a fun recipe/video!

Dorie explains this nicely! I made them, and she gives good tips here. I will make these again, as they are fairly easy. I would suggest not to flatten them down to much when grilling, and watch your pans heat level as you want them to cook and not burn for 7 minutes each side. Lastly use a fork to split open, and they do freeze! Really a treat!

I've been a fan of Dorie's recipes and cookbooks for years, but I had no idea what a delight she was in person (well on video). Thank you for this. Plan to try these over the weekend. I love how simple she makes it... how much fun she is... and how she doesn't require English muffin rounds or what not.

ALL of her cookbooks are absolute winners. I cook/bake from them constantly. Very, very reliable with interesting flavours. You won't be sorry!

Thank you Food52 for bringing Dorie back for more delicious delights. I have been on the fence about making my own English Muffins but have now changed my outlook. With those store bought muffins I split them, slather some butter on them then put them on the griddle. As I find the toaster desiccates them too much and is not a nice texture. But these are different and worth the time put into preparing them.

This made me feel like I could do this. The dough is currently in the refrigerator and rose up well! Now, to grill!!!

For anyone who is on the fence, I just made these today with the video and online recipe ... they're absolutely delicious! Highly recommend weighing out your measurements and resting the dough overnight. So moist with a beautiful crisp on the outside!
