    Sorry for the lack of uploads. Have been in lockdown for nearly 6 weeks, and it will be extended until probably end of October (sheesh). Obviously won't be able to record any new footage for racquet reviews pending, but I could try some other style videos if people are interested, let me know anything that interests you - thanks Also i mentioned XT being last iteration, i meant the Touch, for some reason i was thinking of a XT coloured Prestige PT57A at the time 😂

    Splitting hairs i think - really comes down to pure preference - feel is nice for both, but a different style of feel, also for whatever reason I felt it was easier to handle despite the similar specs (the Prestige), but others have felt the opposite But the HD will be more rock solid off the rack, Prestige needs a little tinkering - but it's give or take, both are good quality

    I personally enjoy the Ultra Pro more in terms of feel, there's just something about it that is so nice, balanced and perfect But unless you weight it up to much higher range like 345-350, you will be missing out alot of the more free on spin, power, easier launch angle and just about every category You probably just need to work much harder with the Ultra Pro That being said, i've just ordered myself an Ultra Pro 16x19, and really looking forward to seeing how that turns out!

  • @ACTennis

    @ACTennis

    2 жыл бұрын

    I've got the TF40 305, haven't tried the 315, but seems like TF40 is more of a hybrid control racquet, fast off the stringbed, great precision, not really much flex to it, a good amount stiffer, would recommend softer strings to increase the power and feel Prestige MP is like the classic buttery smooth control frame , pure feel and flex, harder to swing but rewarding for every amount of effort you put in

    Great review, dropped a sub. Came from the Blade v7 review and ended up watching almost everything. I see that some testers also talked about the hollowness and that vibration. I just play tested the newest version Prestige MP (the previous Tour 18x19 99in head) and found the same feel when hitting at a certain spot or hitting lightly, there’s a hollow sound and feel to it. Most likely not the strings because the Boom Pro with the same string I was playing didn’t have that feel. Would you have any recommendations on modding to fix that? Lead tape, dampening tap, etc.?

  • @ACTennis

    @ACTennis

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks alot - for me, i think it's due to tension and swingweight, swingweight is probably needing to be around the 328+++ range (if they are thin beam) and tension on the Prestiges i found work alot better in lower 40's , i usually use 48 for most open patterns, or even my Gravity Pro, but for Prestige MP i found it needed less than 45, perhaps even 42 - or you need time to let the string really break in , as long as it's not over 50lbs

    @@ACTennis @AC Tennis thanks for the quick response, your reviews and comparison videos are very detailed and comprehensive, as a noob I find not much problem understanding. As for strings, I did 50lb ALU power on my gravity MP and that was way too lively for me so my sweet spot is probably around 52lb. Not sure how is it going to be for the previous gen Prestige Tour. Would you say adding weight will help though? Started with the Youtek Prestige but it's too heavy for me, using the 360+ Prestige Tour is almost a “welcome home” and a lot more user friendly for me except for that hollow feel once per few hits.

  • @ACTennis

    @ACTennis

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@hijikatakun000 Alu is a powerful poly , and Gravity MP also has some good power once you get used to the swing speed you need, could try a lower power poly in a lower tension but it's a little tougher to get around on the lighter racquets like Prestige Tour or Gravity MP, because i think they're more meant to be played as a lighter frame, But increasing swingweight will always help with some of the hollowness, but depends how much you can handle, but you can always add/remove lead for experimenting , The difference between boom pro and your comparison frames may be the beam thickness aswell in additional to swingweight

    As usual great review, I’d love your opinion: I currently play with the ezone 98 2022 slightly customized to mid 320 SW with PTP 1.25mm. I like the racket but I am missing feel/touch and tend to overhit balls on full swings which normally affects my confidence to swing out. Profile: 4.0 - max 4.5 all court player with eastern forehand and one handed spiny backhand (I use my weight 65 to 70kg). Coming from the ezone do you think I would be making a good choice?. My top picks are Speed Pro, Prestige MP, Extreme Tour (I feel it will be similar to the ezone) & Gravity pro (worries me as many people say it is hard to swing, I’ve seen your review many times). Main concern ‘arm comfort’. Play tested: Wilson blade 18x20 v7 (solid), Pro staff v13 (not bad, good feel), Speed MP, Clash 100 V1 (own it), Gravity MP (own it), Aero 2023 & Aero VS (not for my style), technifibre RS 300, Babolat Strike 100 (👎 tough on arm). Sorry for the long msg 😅, thank you.

Once I ajusted to it on my ohb, my forehand started to suffer, so I thought that a smaller head size could held, so since the prestige mp has the same thin beam, somewhat similar wheight, maybe it could be a good option. Any thoughts?

    It's quite a different racquet, not the same spin, power, much smaller sweet spot, need to be more dialled in or string much lower to get it to open up Stability may also need some weight because it's like 10pts lower than Gpro i. stock - i would wait for the new Radical Pro which is due January, it sounds like it may be inbetween both

Don't know about the radical, cause I prefere thinner beams, but I may give it a try! Thanks for the answer. Basically same deal as this Prestige, firmer strings strung at 50lbs weren't all that fantastic for my sensitive wrist, even with its flex Very harsh like Weiss Canon Ultra Cable, LXN 4G made the hoop feel harsh and didn't feel that nice Semi firm and soft are the best, have used many across the board, from Diadem Solstice Power, Tour Bite 1.15, MSV Focus Hex Soft 1.15, Hyper G, Alu Power, RPM Blast, Lynx, Lynx Tour to name a few Unless the sun is out in full force, is when i will choose to string 52lbs for control, but colder environments or seasons i like 45lbs in full winter and 48lbs for general nice weather

    @@ACTennis Interesting. Unfortunately I don't get to test a wide variety, both because it's expensive and because I'm not playing that often, so I find that I need to be a little more accurate. I tried Hyper-G 1.15mm at 52lbs and am now tring Gut mains (54lbs) with Lynx crosses (51lbs) as I'm returning from a shoulder injury. Wondering if I'm not stringing too high for this stick... I've tried Lynx at 50lbs as well and it was ok (not great, just ok.. a lot of pingy vibrations for some reason).

    Less forgiving, less stable in stock, static weight makes it harder to handle since it's higher despite lower swingweight, would add weight to handle of blade and it's fine, but extra weight on prestige makes it slow for me, both serve well, prestige probably better, spin is roughly the same, more power on blade by a bit because of swingweight

    Ps97 probably bit more lower powered, similar control, depending on tension you use on Prestige (i.e unless you use low 40s) it will have more forgiveness, stability is similar, but 1HBH is much better on PS97 and also easier to manoeuvre, similar stability, but much weaker on serves

    @@ACTennis Thanks for your quick reply! I was torn on getting either prestige or pro staff 97 but after reading your comments, I feel more sure about getting a PS97! =) I played a set yesterday using the Prestige MP and was amazed it. The weight distribution seemed a bit on the heavier side in the Prestige than the PS97 but it didn't bother me at all. The racquet was very stable at the net and had good control. You are right about the string tension, I tend to string my racquet at 50lbs but I've never strung it at the range of 40s. I will give it a go next time. I also had the luxury of trying out the PS97 demo racquet. Even though it is stable at the net and easily manoeuvrable, it is quite low powered. The user needs to have very sound groundstrokes and big swing pattern to get the full power of this racquet. =D

    TF40 is likely an easier racquet to handle overall, except maybe lower launch angle, very good racquet nonetheless, prestige just has more feel, but is heavier I think prestige is more for advanced players and the TF40 can be mixed into a wider range of skill levels - not to say TF40 is easy to use, but compared to Prestige then yeah

    Kind of what you expect, GT Prestige MP didn't have a great feel, and had low swingweight, the control was ok but Prestige is known for it's beautiful feel, and that's what the G360+ has over it, also has a larger head size by 3sq in so it will be more forgiving, and launch angle / spin is alot easier to use Compared to the VS, it's just a ton more comfortable, though it's heavier, the beam is much thinner, so still makes it fairly easy to use if you're an experienced player, obviously won't beat the VS in the spin and power department, but that's not what Prestiges are for anyway, control in this Prestige is much better than both

    @@herculesperseus6326 You can always change the pallet underneath for any of the premium Head racquets to match the shape you like I think you've probably done the right thing in terms of modding already, what you can look at is the strings assuming you don't have any issues with polys Using a thin gauge poly 18g (1.15mm) or thinner, to increase the launch angle, also improve the bite of the ball so it's less muted - but that will also reduce the swingweight using lighter strings, so you might need to counter it with more weight in the head to maintain current stability
