Head Prestige MP Auxetic Review by Gladiators

Спорт

The Pro Prestige really didn’t impress us and even our fav auxetic technolog didn’t help. Here’s the MP version of the Prestige that is now almost the lightest version in the lineup for those who don’t know. With a 99 inch head and a weird but kinda cool 18 by 19 string pattern, did we like it any better? Watch the video till the grades to find out.
Spoiler Alert, we did!

    I got two of these from two different sources. Neither one of them had a swing weight anywhere near 334. They both had swing weights around 315 strung. I used lead to bring it up to about 330 SW and some lead on the handle to give a more headlight balance. This racquet is the best that head has come out with in a very long time. Good twist weight and the 18x19 pattern, along with the flex, remind me of the Head RadicalTrisys 260. Lots of spin and serves are insane with this if you have good technique and supply your own power. Love ‘em.

    The Auxetic MP-L (TGT334.2) uses the same TK334 mold (99", 21.5mm beam) as the MP (TGT334.1) and the layup is the same except for 5g less material distribution.

    Hey guys excellent review! I have a question, have either of you heard of a stop volley? I know in some countries that's the name for a drop volley, but I heard a "coach" say there is a different between a stop volley and drop volley can you tell me what the difference is if you believe there is one! Thanks 🙏 appreciate 👊🎾♥️🏆 congratulations on your point!!!

  • @gladiatorstribe

    @gladiatorstribe

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thank you very much! They're pretty much the same thing. They're both pretty much short volleys. With the stop volley you just take the energy from the ball and make it land at about half court, where the opponent might reach but will end up giving you an easy ball to finish. With the drop volley you give the ball and extra effect to make it land super short, creating a dropshot.

    I tried the Prestige Tour and it swung too heavy even though I did play well with it. I couldn't whip my serve around like I normally do and I didn't love the feeling of the racquet. It has this metallic quality about it, I sorta disliked it in that respect. I wish they made it a little softer and lighter and it would be perfect. This MP version has a similar SW so I kinda doubt I'd like it any better.
