For people who want to improve or develop faster full strokes, the prestiges is the frame for you. Its underpowered and control oriented, the complete opposite of pure drives where you can get away with slaps and wristy strokes. In actuall matches it will not help you but as a player it will teach you how to move and swing more like an ATP especially if you weigh it up

Prestige is an old school racket similar to the Prestige from the early 90s which I grew up with. You have to put in a bit more power into your swing on the Prestige as it's low powered. I still love it though. I'm also trying the Prince 100P which is kind of similar - would be great to have a comparison!

Switched from a Wilson Blade 98 CV to a Head Radical Pro a few months ago and agree with everything you said in the video about the Radical. I was fairly happy with the Wilson Blade but the reason for the switch is that I was finding it very difficult to generate topspin with it. The Radical, from my experience, provides really good control as well as decent topspin. The slightly increased power was a nice bonus as well. Gives you a good balance between all 3 aspects I think. Any thoughts on a WIlson Blade vs Head Radical Pro raquet comparison video? Love your content btw, keep up the great work!

I have the new Radical Pro. Strung it at 48lbs with tour bite. Very solid at net, precise frame, small sweet spot, very maneuverable, love it for one handed backhand and slices, accurate for placing serves. Very low powered and not a fan of the colour, but will take performance over looks any day of the week.

I’m assuming the V7 will feel a lot stiffer than the v6 countervail model? Have you tried the v6 blade that does not have countervail in it? I believe they have just brought that old version out again without countervail. What’s your opinion on that racket. Thank you

Especially would like to know: You mentioned several times in several vlogs about the new Prestige line that the Tour or S are somewhat in the no.mans land. What do you exactly mean? (Prestige always more low powered.although with CPI 400 (Tour) and 500 (S) I should expect both good power. Which rackets in the Head line are most similar to these Prestiges? Hey Jonas -- I recently demoed the Radical Pro and have a demo lined up with the Prestige MP. Since you test so many racquets, I was wondering if you have any thoughts on whether Head racquets have poor quality control and unreliable specs? I've seen some reviews on retailer websites saying that because Head racquets (along with other major brands) are now made in China, the racquets are cheaply made and two MP frames might have very different swing weights and balance?

There's not much in it now between the 16/19 and 18/20 String patterns on this comparison, they are both pretty similar string patterns, the extra cross on the prestige is so low down near the throat it's like an extra rogue one, I think they are both 4 mains on the throat still too right? The old drill pattern like on the pro tour 2.0 is very close but not so much now.

@@montyj3342 The Radical is a very flexible racquet as it comes so light in stock form. I think that it used to be really flexible with RA in the 56-59 back in the Microgel era. I have a pair of Berdych's TGT260.2s (16x19 YT Radical MP) and the swingweight is around 395. They are quite challenging to hit with until you get used to them. You can make them whatever you want to be by adding lead. It's not going to have the power of a super-stuff racquet like the Pure Drive.

I was so excited for the new radical pro (currently playing with the 2019 version), but was very disappointed. When I looked at the specs, it seemed like everything I wanted in the update, but it didn’t deliver. The biggest issue I had was the inability to generate easy spin and angles. While the feel of hitting the ball was improved, I felt that the feel when swinging the racquet was very clunky and not maneuverable. I felt like I needed to take full cuts at every ball, and couldn’t just roll balls in play. I’ll be switching to the Extreme Tour and adding some lead!

TW has Prestige MP static weight at 11.9 ounces. Your static weight specs are different at 11.3 ounces. Why Is that?

The radical is a very difficult to spin racquet, can't imagine playing with the prestige...

@@Tennisnerd 👌 👍 My Daughter recently cracked her Blade 98 CV, so I had a chance to chop it open. I was surprised to find it was foam filled. Donnay is also foam filled. Makes a huge difference in reducing arm pain!

The fact that you call the Radical "a people's racket" in comparison to the Prestige makes you think about how hard the Prestige is to use. I own both of them as you do (1 Prestige Pro 95 sq. in. head and 2 Radical Pros 2021 98 sq.in.) and I'm definitely a Radical guy, but I also appreciate the Prestige when I play on hard courts. Long life to non-profiled classical rackets!

Well Head Hawk Touch feels really bad in this one. Too low powered. This frame goes well with a softer shaped poly such as tour bite soft or hyper g soft etc. I put in Tour bite at 45lbs and much better. Lovely frame but as noted is string sensitive, must choose right string to match the frame then is awesome

In term of look, I find the new Radical Orange Fluo is very Ugly. Can't stand it! I'd rather prefer their previous version, great color contraste design.
