Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan is joined by international editor Isabel Oakeshott to discuss the latest on the parliamentary gambling scandal.
At least seven Metropolitan Police officers are being investigated over bets on the timing of the General Election.
The Met and the Gambling Commission issued an update on the inquiry into the alleged use of inside information to bet on the July 4 date.
Scotland Yard had previously indicated that six officers were under investigation, including one of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s protection team who was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
So far five Conservatives have also been caught up in the inquiry, although the authorities have not confirmed their identities, with reports suggesting the figure could be 15 parliamentary candidates and officials.

LUCKILY, when Rishi Sunak's family invested £500 Million in Maderna shares, and made £Billions, it wasn't gambeling because he was signing a ten year deal worth 100 £billion to supply vaccns to the UK , so shares were going to skyrocket. DEFINATELY not gambeling then.

Absolutely not a leader. Leadership includes modelling behaviours and his were appalling last night.
The police did a great job of giving dispersal notices to the homeless in towns and cities where Richie Sunak was visting for his campaign. No joke !

Time to hammer home the fact that Reform has now overtaken the Conservative Party, the see-saw has tipped over. There is literally no point in voting Conservative, who are going ever backwards. I'm commenting this as a non-Brit who lives in the UK and observes their politics without any kind of passion about it... How come both leaders of the main parties, Conservative and Labour, are clearly SO bland and uninspiring? How come they both got to be the leaders of their parties when they clearly have zero charisma and don't inspire any confidence at all? One may or may not like people like Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, but at least when you see them you instantly know they have some kind of plan and conviction in what they do, whether they are right or wrong about it. With Farage you have the extra points of hime being a very charismatic fella... and I'm saying this while disagreeing with most of the stuff he says, but he clearly has leadership attitude even if he's being a leader of a small party. But this is not just in the UK. In my country the leaders of the main parties are also bland as hell, a shadow of what former leaders actually were a couple of decades ago.
