I think they will find a fair & impartial jury. I have very strong feelings about trump but I could sit on the jury and listen to only the information given in that courtroom and make a decision based on that alone. I think there are a lot of people that have the ability to compartmentalize and separate the ex-president from citizen defendant trump. I just hope that people take that duty very seriously and are honest. No one on that jury can judge him until every bit of information is given in court and is weighed against reasonable doubt. I’m afraid that extremists might try to get on the jury to hurt him or to help him and both are equally wrong.

Well, there has been cases where the media enhanced pictures/videos to make him look more orange than he was in the original material. So no surprise, he seems less orange IRL. If you look at original material with context it's also shocking that easily 90%+ of things Trump is reported to have said is not actually true. E.g. he never made fun of a reporters handicap, only about his question and self-righteous face. Same way he makes fun of everyone. Media took out-of context quote "You should have seen him"" and a file picture of Trump where he happens to have the hand in a similar position as the handicapped reporter to deliberately convey a false impression. Not to mention the "good people" lie (Trump clarified he didn't mean them and they should be condemned totally) and many many others. Sent shivers down my spine when I found out how extreme the political bias of the media is these days (paired with lazy copypasting) :/

To be clear, the issue I was implicitly highlighting was that of the concept that even someone who is from another country with minimal bias and who recently themselves became a citizen is deemed to be inneffectual as a juror because of their inability to be impartial yet we are going to rely on other Americans who are seemingly even more biased as they are raised in a country where capitalism and politics merge to make possoble the most subvertly propogandist nation on earth?!?! It is more shocking than just a stupid news update, it is a major concern for justice as we know it whether it be us or a US President. Especially with the expanse of liberal philosophy amongst the gen pop as well as the uncontrollable and unregulated mass immigration.

So many American born refuse to do their civic duty and avoid jury duty. I became a juror when I told the judge I was there to do my civic duty and would be failing if I had a list of excuses not to do so.

Turns out it's not allowed to just blab and disrupt court proceedings, nor is it allowed to threaten court personnel and juries with violence, especially when it's likely your threats will be carried out, as is the case with Trump and his demented followers. Trump is totally free to make his defense through his lawyers, like every single criminal defendant in every single trial in the history of American jurisprudence. The people who admit they can’t be impartial are probably the ones you want on the jury. This is unprecedented. It might be more fair to have people who admit they have bias and equal number on each side, but have them promise to “try” to be impartial because you know they are being honest. I would say feel bad for him because it will be hard to get an unbiased jury, but regular people do it all the time, especially regular Black people. No one is willing to admit they believe Black people are prone to crime during jury selection, but many have a bias. So . . . He gets what he gets.
